I'm genuinely curious what the response would be if trump suspended elections.

In what way would you even suggest that he'd try to do that? Via executive order? It would be immediately struck down by the SCOTUS and would be grounds for impeachment.

Yea, I was one of those. Waiting, waiting... waiting ... waiting... He is who he is. :( I only now hope that this is all about ego and nothing more sinister.

The guy lost by 3 million votes and some people here think he can just take over the country. Some people have some odd fantasies.

For some it's kind of wishful thinking. They want to believe that he's some kind of dictator type, so they wish he'd do something to lend credibility to that narrative. I mean sure he's got congress and will soon have the SCOTUS, especially after Ginsburg dies, but pretending that there is any way in which those things could be done is just crazy talk.

The reaction would be opposite compared to the reaction by leftists if Obama decided to run for a 3rd term.

    Oh, please!

So many conservatives are followed lock step behind Trump, some of you even excuse him when he bragged about sexually assaulting a woman. I've yet to see plenty of you actually say you dislike ANYTHING that he's said or done now.

I've said plenty so you're not paying attention. I guess you payed as much attention on Obama's and the clintons transgressions. Yea you looked the other way too but for different reasons.

Also I'm not gonna rip someone for guy talk when we've all done it. It's what guys do when woman aren't around, only difference is we aren't recorded. That doesn't mean we mean it. God help us all if we're held to everything we've ever said. To me it humanizes him more than anything. He's a dude, got a wife and kids, etc.. unlike Clinton who tries to please everyone to the point of being fake and acts like a ******* robot most of the time. Obama as a dude is cool though. Bush too.

You really talk like that, too?

I might have said something like that when I was twelve and trying to puff myself up as a pubescent pre-teen, but as an adult, I've never said anything like that, nor overheard a conversation like that between two men, and would be offended if I did. For reals. In college, some dudes in my fraternity used to say some stupid **** about women (not quite as bad as rape) but I used to be offended by it then.

Maybe that is the difference between the two viewpoints. Maybe Republicans all run around talking about grabbing p*****s and sexually assaulting women and pillaging 3rd world countries when Democrats aren't listening.

My guy talk didn't include me bragging about sexually assaulting women. If you've done that and all the guys you know have done that, then please seek help for yourself and them.

I've had guy talk that is infinitely more profane than what Trump said, but profanity wasn't the main issue with what Trump said. The main issue was that he was talking and bragging about sexually assaulting women. He was doing so from the stand point that he was entitled to do those things.

You want to quote some of
Would you care to quote some of these horrible things I've supposedly said?

    I'll wait.

My wife is fine with talking about women and understands the profane nature of guy's talk. She isn't fine with bragging and laughing about sexually assaulting women.

Look at yourself calling the disapproval of bragging about sexual assault, helpless.

To my far right friends, as much as we disagree on stuff...the fact that you probably see this as North Korean propaganda should be alarming. I know you won't speak of it given how partisan you are supposed to act, but know that we both see this as troubling as strange.

We just got done listening to propaganda from the previous administration, now we're hearing this administration's propaganda.....what's the difference?

I think the fact that you see it as different just implies partisanship on your part.

The difference is that the previous administration didn't start day 1 with dozens of lies about something that doesn't matter to anyone other than the president's ego. They certainly told falsehoods, but not at the rate about such trivial things that were easily verifiable as falsehoods.

    lol.

There was a very big difference. A guy came out and lied about something trivial to make the president look better, scolded those objecting and then just left. That doesn't sound like an office that thinks it is answerable to the people. It looks like the "you're fired" guy playing president for a day. To compare that to any previous administration, bush, obama, etc is disingenuous. Tell me, what do you think North Korea does in its "briefings"? Do you think we are any different than North Korea?

For the last several weeks the press secretary and even the president himself would come out and lie about his record to make the president look better.....I dunno, I just see propaganda as propaganda. It's nothing new.
