Until you've had a good season, you ain't had one.

A bad game? It was an awful game. He's had one good month all year and people are ready to crown him.

He also sucked in that loss against the White Sox a couple of weeks ago. He needs to more consistent.

If you look at the game log, Spaghetti basically has one bad game per month. Hopefully this was it for September

Seen some historically great pitchers have awful outings. Tonite won’t define his career. It’s so easy to lean into being snarky and negative though.

He really was not. Dropped ball at first. Emergency back 0-2 20 hopper we job down the line in front of a HR and then a ball that had 1 park it was A HR in. **** happens and the results weren’t great but he pitched fine.

My gawd... it's like this board is full of Texans fans that overreact irrationally after one game. His ceiling is higher than Jason Jennings folks

I`ll be curious to see if he was tipping his pitches, he mentioned it last night that he didn't think he was but wanted to look at the tape........he also said regardless, it was on him either way. It was a bad game that didn't have to be so bad at the start, but our D has been suspect this year

I have faith in the young man, he`ll bounce back, he is a rookie having a HELL of a year

First and foremost, almost every guy who’s made it to MLB has been a bonafide star during a stint in his baseball lifetime, ( little league, Highs school, college, a level in the minors, etc.)

The big difference is how quickly folks can make adjustments to counter the opposition adjustments. The baseball savants can expose any miniature hole in the arsenal and make a baseball player look utterly incompetent. He wasn’t fooling anyone in his 9/4/2024 outing, he might as well be tossing at a HR derby.

So far Arraghetti has made adjustments to seal up his weaknesses, during the season. But against the Reds he lost his cool after the error, he broke down mentally. If Arrighetti can stay humble, he has the potential to be very good, but a bad combination of getting rookie of the month accolades, giving up a few runs to start the game, and then completely falling apart after the Pena error.

It is his rookie season, he’s given a no-hitter to his bullpen only to have them lose it for him. He has been pummeled before. He seemed to figure it out in August, only to be nuked to start September.

It’s baseball, lots of ups and down; and if the grind wears you out you won’t be standing when the dust settles.

I remember bashing Daryl Kile his rookie year. He have up 10 runs in his first 3 innings across 3 games... and he turned out being an all-star in a couple of years.

I rather have a bunch of amazing games and one really bad one than having a bunch of mediocre games. Get all your runs out of your system in one game.
