LOL at all the butt hurt drivers. Aggies just throw money at traffic citations and they disappear with no record. Get over it already.

You can take defensive driving again. That time limit crap is BS. They don't care as long as they get their court fee. Of course, I always opt to go the lawyer route because I'd prefer to pay a lawyer than to pay the state.

I just don't want it on my record. I think I will just pay the Lawyer's fee and call it a day. I wasn't trying to be rude. I just asked a simple question and got critized for my driving. If I wanted to be told to slow down, I would tell my mother I got speeding tickets.

You came on this board and stated you needed help trying to get a speeding ticket addressed... Then good posters on this board give you legit advice advising you to slow down..and then you go on to give more "internet lip." Perhaps google speeding tickets and clutchfans and you may get so many threads of folks just like you. And if you wanna continue speeding, get a high quality radar...just try not to kill someone.

Who called you an idiot or a moron (besides yourself, of course)? I can honestly say I have never driven 98 in my life.

I always go 5 over on highways.
I can't imagine going like 17 over though, unless its to pass someone.

Was about to start my own thread regarding a ticket, but I'll ask here. Don't mean to derail the OP's thread.

I recently was in an accident where I lost control of my car on a gravel road and was given a ticket for "unsafe speed - accident" when the cop showed up. However, the cop did not see the accident and therefor just assumed I was speeding and wrote the ticket. I was still too caught up in the accident to explain to him that I ran over something that caused my wheel to jerk and I was unable to handle the car, but soon after I was like WTF?

Can I get this dismissed in front of a judge or do I need to hire a lawyer. This was in Sealy, TX?

Request a continuance either to provide ample time to hire an attorney or just get real sick and ask for a continuance due to medical reasons.

I-10 W near hwy 6 is a nightmare on Saturday night.. Tons of cops just waiting for drivers to speed. Did 66 exiting hwy 6, so I got pulled over, lol.. This is the 2nd ticket in the same year so far. One was dismissed with Defensive driving and this new one I got last night might do defensive driving again.. What's funny is that two cars ahead of me were going a lot faster than 66, he pulled me over because I was the easiest to get to because I slowed down once I saw the cop turned on his lights.

I can't remember the last time I drove the speed limit on the highway. I don't do reckless driving though. Speeding at night with no traffic is actually a no no..since you never know what trap you are driving into.

I have gone up to 100 here and there but only for briefs moments. Then I just come back down to +5-10mph over the speed limit.

There's that stretch on 288 north after you pass the beltway where it's a straight road for about half a mile..I open it up then and just slow back down before the first hill..

Im glad you got caught. It's nothing personal, but I am sick and tired of the "if you aren't going 85, get out of the way" crowd.

I wish cops would camp on the freeway and stop every one of you.

You're probably going to get a letter from the state because your accumulated enough points in a year for them to suspend your license.

Surprised that this thread has been here as long as it has and we haven't seen the swoly morality police post.

Honestly why does that make you angry?
Just stay in a right lane where all the slower traffic is and we'll have no problem. Now if someone is tailing you in the right lane then yes its reasonable to get mad, but if you are going slower than the cars behind you it is common courtesy to get out of the way.

That's what the express lane is for.
