Speed Racer trailer (for better or worse, it's what anime looks like in real life)

Whoa man that is really trippy. I don't think I'll be watching this one till it come out to DVD. Seems like pure visual and no story line.

Looks ok, but it LOOKS freaking awesome, if you know what I mean. I won't see it in the theater, but it'll be a nice way to showcase a high end TV.

I don't care what anyone says. That looks bad ass. I grew up on Speed Racer. Just hope it doesn't suck like most of the retreads have.

I don't like the whole futuristic, cartoonish, colorful aspect. There are colors everywhere, it's like they let 5 year olds with crayons go wild at the studio.

Will he even do the Speed Racer pose?

I second that.....weird look, but I like it. Visually stunning.

Got it hand it to the Wachowski Brothers. They're not afraid to push the envelope.

And now we know what happens to Jack when he gets off the island....

It looks like Priscilla Queen of the Desert with CGI micro machines. The CGI looks really bad.

If you remember the cartoon, there was actually a lot of fighting, a lot of shooting, evil villains with sinister plots to get rich, get revenge, take over the world...

I don't know what to make of the trippy take on Speed Racer. As I think about it, I really don't know how they could have stayed true to the cartoon without it being all trippy.

That was ****ing amazing. I see movies in the theater about once every two years. Batman movies, movies about Dylan, Lars Von Trier movies and very few other exceptions -- otherwise I wait til they come out on DVD and watch at home. I will see this in the theater. It looks ****ing rad.
