Guaranteed. Russ will show these fools how not to play down to your opponent's level. Win or lose is a given, but sleepwalking without any sense of urgency is not acceptable. That's one quality that Russ brings to the team: fight! We didn't fight for a win today.
only if he's actually ready nobody here was predicting a Rockets sweep...OKC got their 1 win with all 3 of their guards playing amazing, and most of our guys playing like garbage bricking everything, and that win would've been a loss if House hit his free throws this L gets a shoulder shrug from me as I sip this tea
Thread should have a [speculation] tag or something. Clicked on this thread thinking it was an official announcement by the Rockets.
Agreed. The way I see it, the only glaring “adjustment” is Harden has to do better not getting into foul trouble. Rockets played well enough to win and definitely were not sleep walking. Shots really didn’t fall today but they attacked the basket at Will with success. The inbounds during late game also needs to be much better. Otherwise the Rockets should be able to methodically take care of OKC next game. CP3 as great as he is started making circus shots after Harden fouled out and they got momentum. Give OKC credit for fighting for game 3 and winning it.
Alright you cry babies. Edit the title. No matter, it's going to happen anyway. Westbrook has had plenty of time to rest his quad. He will be ready Monday.
all facts I don't think we played down to their level...the Rockets aren't gonna blow them out every game they competed hard defensively, they just made a couple of crucial mistakes such as House helping off Shai in the corner when Green was already in the paint ready to contest CP3's layup...House missed his free throw...Harden missed 4 free throws no reason to panic at all based off this game...CP3, Shai, and Schroder all had excellent games, and it was still just barely enough to win Rockets shot 15-50 from 3...30%...bump that up to 33-35% and it will be enough
Please, where was the stifling defense from the first 2 games? It was absent. If you don't think the players were going through the motions, it's your opinion.
"Cry babies?" This is what happens on every forum everywhere when a thread title is misleading, most especially when forum members are eagerly awaiting news on that front. You posted that Westbrook would start, not that you thought he would start. That's a foul every time. The way I see it, you're the only one crying.
OKC only had 104 points at the end of regulation. They shot 41% from the field and 28% from 3 in the 2nd half. You’re gonna convince me that’s not stifling defense and just “going through the motions”? They made a couple of costly mistakes, but overall, the defense was there, let’s please not act like it wasn’t. What didn’t show up was the offense. The “Rockets played down to their competition” excuse is used every time they lose. It’s like y’all don’t ever want to give any credit to the other team. OKC was gonna win a game in this series. Did u have us sweeping them?
I’d love to see Westbrook back out there but I’m pretty confident we don’t need him this series. It’s hard to sweep a playoff team
Do not rush him. If the series goes 2-3 then he needs to get his ass in. We need him at 100% the next two series.
