I am a delivery driver and today I was delivering some boxes to San Jacinto CC (Central Campus) and while I was unloading the boxes off of my dolly I saw a gentleman with a Houston Rockets polo-type shirt talking on his cellphone. He looked rather professional and he drew my interest enough so that I started listening to his conversation the best I could. I heard three names over and over again...."ainge", "lafrentz", and "carroll". Didn't really hear any specifics but I thought it was a little unusual to hear those three names over and over again. Take it for what you will...
What use do we have for Lafrenz?... .. we need to shore-up our Primeter defense and bring in a 3 rd scorer.
He would help out alot with Yao in the game because of his range and shooting ability. As long as we dont give up swift or head to get him then i am accepting of a trade for him. also is a good shot blocker if i remember correctly so he is no slouch on defense...could someone dig up his stats this year with shooting percentages
is it me or today ive heard so many stories about trade rumors... (today my boss), (today this guy), (today my friend)
He isn't quick enough to guard athletic 4's and although he tries hard he isn't much of a defender either against centers.
i also heard from my brothers cousins friends sisters mothers aunts gardeners neighbors talking parrott that we are trading wesley for lebron
I don't agree with that at all. Lafrentz is a great rebounder and shot blocker. Howard struggles in both of those departments. Lafrentz is also a better shooter. Only negative on Lafrentz is I think he has a big contract.
Howard and Lafrentz both shooting at 47% career. Howard is avg 7.3rpg whereas Lafrentz is averaging 6.8rpg for the career. Both are EQUAL at rebounding though Lafrentz definitely is a better shot blocker than Howard but even Rafer Alston blocks more shots than Howard! Howard maybe inconsistent but he is way more consistent than Lafrentz! But i do like Lafrentz during his Nuggets days!
Say NO to Lafrentz! His contract would kill us. Hoopshype: 2005/06: 10 Mio. 2006/07: 10,9 Mio. 2007/08: 11,8 Mio. 2008/09: 12,7 Mio.
Pros: Shoots Rebounds Blocks Shots Cons: Massive Contract Foul-Prone Inconsistent Meh. I'd take him without that contract.
Raef is a good shooter, but really a stiff. That contract thru 'o9 is a killer - worse than Mo Taylor or Juwan. I'd rather have Juwan-a consistent stiff. He needs to stay in the East....
If you spend that kind of money for a player, you ought to get a guy that can bring it. He is a good player but not the impact player we need, he and Blount are part of the reason the Celts are not as good as they should be, any team with Pierce and Davis should not be playing sub .500 ball.
