If u want Amar'e, the Knicks will ship him to you via express post along with a thank you card and a fruit basket, without asking for anything in return. They would use the amnesty clause on him except that they have already used it. He is so injury proned that he is untradeable and uninsurable. Otherwise, Carmelo would have made Dolan drive him out of town already.
I'd rather see what D. Motijunas, T. Jones, and P. Patterson can do for us. Their combined salaries << Amare's (I assume; didn't look em up).
Why stop at Amar'e?! We might as well go after Nash, Diaw, Bell, and make ourselves the ****ing Phoenix Suns of years past!
Stat is one of the most overpaid players in NBA, along with one of the most untradable contracts. His only offense is PnR. He can't post up and has one of the lowest isolation efficiency in the league. Madador defense and can't rebound as well. At times, he looked totally lost at 4. He is more comfortable at 5 but doesnt have the size to be a true 5. No to Stat!
Amare was unable to play pick n roll with Lin, and he had degressed so much last year. So how about no?
I'm too lazy to read through this entire thread, but I'd be willing to bet that nobody -- NOT A SINGLE PERSON -- agreed with the OP that this was a good idea.
A Random trade proposal is a random trade proposal you just made. It is just a thread you made base on your opinions not fact. A real trade proposal thread is a trade that is about to be made or already happened, not a random trade proposal that is made by someone's opinion.
BTW, Amare would be a terrible addition to this team anyway. He is on the downward spiral of his career, plus his contract is considered a "bad contract"... So having Amare here would basically ruined this team rebuilding process. It will not only delay it but also take over our luxury cap room. Amare is just another bad contract that no team would want except for the dumb*** Knicks who are starting to regret signing him in the first place.
