Spec's downtown is like heaven. The other locations are good, but downtown is freaking amazing. They have EVERYTHING.
Spec's downtown is awesome. First the liquor, then the freaking deli. Unreal. My latest liquor store fave is the liquor store at the new Costco on Richmond. You don't have to be a member to shop there. Bought a bottle of Glenlivet 18 year old single malt for $70...five bucks cheaper than Specs.
It is a separate building on their lot, next to the main Costco building. All of the beer and wine is still sold inside of the Costco building. Only hard liquor is sold in the separate building.
Speaking of the Deli, if you're in the area at lunch you HAVE to try the California Dreaming sandwich. 1/2 lb. Turkey Havarti Cheese Avocado Cucumber Alfalfa Sprouts Tomato Hot mustard & Mayo on wheat bread. One of the best sandwichs I've ever had, and I've never been able to finish it.
Yes specs has cigars. BTW the wine tastings are the second tuesday of the month. And they also do a beer tasting (FOR FREE) twice a year. They just had one in celebration of Oktoberfest.
Yeah, I know Specs does.. I've never heard of Costco selling Liquor so I curious to see if they sell high end cigars too..
Not that I know of. I'm going there during lunch...if they do, I will come back to this thread in the afternoon to correct myself.
