It is wonderful how a family going through so much can experience something so generous.

Kudos to the Rockets organization for this touching gesture.

If it is not to personal, I would like to hear how he is doing in his battle with Cancer.

things like these is why we should cheer for these players not for the how many points they score or how many rebounds they get.

    awesome story

Same here. That's just an awesome gesture and for the guy to remember him shows how classy our organization is.

I really hope your friend can get well to see his children grow up, Clutch. Please keep us updated.

Remembering this thread from earlier, my fingers were crossed it was bumped for good news...and it was! Great update.

I saw Luis a the airport a few months back - he really is a large man in person. Not that every 6'10 guy doesn't seem big, but Luis isn't just tall, but rather thick as well.

It's cool as an adult just seeing him in the airport - I'm sure your pals kids really had a great time of it and will remember the game and night for the rest of their lives, and that's what counts.

Clutch, please make sure Ken Sheirr gets a link to all the great comments. He deserves some recognition. He and the Rockets org are a class act.
