Big stick diplomacy works in latin america where our influence is strong. That **** just does not fly with Russia though, Putin just doesen't care.

It was a forgone conclusion Crimea was gone, there was nothing Obama could do aside from armed conflict (which would be crazy) to prevent that.

The real battle starts now though, we must prevent Russia from annexing any more regions of eastern Europe.

Should we have just let Europe handle it when 6 million jews were being slaughtered? Should we have just let them figure it out in Kosovo too? What about Rwanda, should we have just let them handle it?

2 of these 3 was Bill F'n Clinton, not some raging war-loving Republican. The world is a f'd up place without a responsible super power (us) policing the world. Yes, we should be the world police, because if we're not, thugs like Putin, Ahmadinejad, and Kim Jong Un will be, and it won't be pretty.

red line after red line being crossed by a roach like Assad in Syria, Putin wreaking havoc in the region, and Iran keeps messing with the middle east and Obama just tucks his tail between his legs and brushes it off. No, MC Mark, I'm not content with my ******* vote to this man, and I feel like he betrayed everything that he stood for when he ran for president. No one wants an unnecessary war, but some wars are necessary, and in the current global climate, the U.S doesn't really need to go to full blown war with anyone to get what we want and stop the international thugs. A few tomahawk missiles usually get the job done and don't cost us jack $h1t, but they would mean the world to the Syrian people who have lost over 200,000 innocent civilians to Putin-backed Assad.

Poor poor niave child... The only way to have an effective intervention in Syria is actual physical boots on the ground and that is not going to happen with the psychological and fiscal scar the last decade of fighting two wars caused. I mean how much of a blabbering idiot one must be to believe a few air strikes is going to solve Syria. I mean who are we helping bombing Assad's forces? The rebels? Which rebels?

US do have a big stick. They just have to accept the fact that they are not the only one with a big stick.
