after watched a couple of games of V-Span on NBATV, I have to say V-Span is a steal of 2nd round pick(thanks to Dallas great international scout)

His shooting is better than Rafer/Bogans

His dribbling is better than Head/Bogans/Wesley

His passing is better than Head/Bogans

His defense is better than Rafer/Head

    He is quicker than Rafer/Bogans/Wesley

He is kind like Parker/Ginobli combo.

Tiago Splitter is a 7-0 c/pf for Tau, who may be available for the 6 to 11 spots in the draft. Did you by any chance notice his game?

WTF. How about thanks to the Rockets international scouting. Dallas drafted V-span for us. The Rox were afraid that someone else would pick him before our 2nd rounder came up so we sent some cash Dallas' way and picked who they wanted (Luis Flores).

If V-span pans out then all the credit in the world goes to the Rockets' scouting department. And Dallas shows that their international scouting isn't perfect by letting him go.

I was watching hime pretty closely. He fouled out but he definitely has potential game. But he is still a kid. He is very thin and I don't know if he can every bulk up. He had some good moves to the basket. He can shoot the mid range jump shot. Has a long wingspan and can block shots. My biggest fear is that he may take 2 or 3 years before he can compete with the PF's in the NBA. He doesn't have as much quickness or handles as Kirilenko but he reminds me of him alot. I would prefer Josh McRoberts between the 2 yet they are very similar, very. I wouldn't be upset if we drafted him but I just think he is a project he has a lot of upside but the Rockets need someone now.

Also something else I should say about Spanoulis, for those who keep saying how he is quicker than Rafer and as quick as Parker. It's just not so or at least from my perspective. I think what confuses people is the slowness of the Euro league players in general. And while Spanoulis looked to be quicker than most the players on the court. His competition just isn't as quick as what he will see here in the NBA. That's not to say he isn't quick enough. I think he is but still there will be many PG's faster including Alston. Let me just conclude by saying IMO Spanoulis has the ability and mentality along with the physical body, once he learns the game and gets used to it's speed to contribute immediately for the Rockets and I don't think he will be a bust at all. On the other side he looks to have reeached his peak physically so what you see is probably what you get with this kid. Anyway you look at it he is a much needed commodity on this team and it is like we have 2 first round picks or 3 if you count or early 2nd round pick.

Anybody that says he's quicker than Parker or as good as Ginobili is making some pretty hefty claims. There aren't too many NBA players quicker than Parker.

I agree, I hardly doubt he is Parker quick, but if he is aggressive, and can pass and penetrate, then he may be great for this team

Sura with a jump shot would be AWESOME !

Anybody else thinking that he sounds a little bit like a more pass-friendly Steve Francis?

Tiago is in white #21 while V-Span is in dark blue #11 (one layup and one jumper made).

Panathinaikos vs. Tau (Vassilis vs. Splitter)

Yes, I believe he ended up fouling out of the game but he looked pretty good. had some nice palys defensively and a few offensively. basically very active on the floor. i don't know what his final numbers were though.
