yeah, he was real good today, maybe the rockets management does konw what they're doing. Vspan, Battier may actually be a lot better than the combo of swift, james, and gay.

I am glad V-Span should what he is made of. This guy has something special about him that will translate to better days in Rocket Land. I am sure JVG will find a way not to play him since he will be a rook and he is not pushing 38 yrs of age. :D

It was just your imagination. Battier played well.

Put your money where your mouth is, then. I'll give you 20:1 odds that V-Span never has a 5 year stretch in the NBA comparable to Stockton's best 5 year stretch. Bet any amount you want.

Dude,no way anybody's gonna take that bet.
    I WILL propose this:
I say VSpan will average at least 13 points and 6 assists over his first three years. You've got a lot of things working in your favor here.A serious injury nullifies the bet.
Tipjar wager of $1000 to be paid at the end of 3 years.
We've both been here for a long time and aren't going anywhere.
    Whaddya think JayZ750?

Ah, I was just trying to be sarcastic by jumping on the VSPAN bandwagon but I know he hasn't really done anything too great. Of course he's no John Stockton........heck, he's probably not even a Rafer Skip-2-another-turnover Alston but I tuned into the game late and when I saw VSPAN making big plays and leading team Greece over USA, I actually had flashes of a upcoming NBA champion season for us.

Truthfully, he'll probably be a average point guard but if he turns out to be half of what we're seeing then imagine a dominant Yao, plus a healthy Tmac, plus a defensive minded Battier then imagine what this team can accomplish.

I think the guy should put his money where his mouth was...I wasn't the one implying that someone else is crazy because he thinks the John Stockton comparison is idiotic...I never said V-Span couldn't be a solid NBA player - in fact I specifically said he reminded me of David Wesley, who has in fact had a stretch averaging 13 and 6 over his career for more than 3 years.

If he thinks John Stockton is a good comparison, why not bet on it?

That said, I still don't think VSpan can do 13 and 6 over his first three years. Over Manu's first 4 years he still isn't averaging 13 ppg - and that'd be the part of the stat you'd think he'd have...he isn't even close on the assists. Heck, even John Stockton wasn't close to those stats his first three years, either. Take off a zero - $100 - and I make that bet.

    You are WRONG, Dude !!

He is a lot like Cassell when he 1st came out of college. Not a lot of range, great 1st step, got into the lane with that step and could hit the short J. vspan may be a little scrappier on the "D" but offensively he reminds me a bunch like Sam

You b*stard......the wound hasn't even been a week fresh and you had to bring up Ewing. How will Yao ever survive without Ewing's tutorledge? Only time will tell if Ewings departure was the turning point in ruining Yao's nba career.

    An oldie but goodie Crisco!
JayZ,I see where your coming from with the Wesley comparison. He can handle the ball and shoot pretty well, probably won't ever D up like David though and certainly won't have that kind of strength. That said he's not undersized at 6'4" compared to 6'0".It also appears that his ballhandling, crossover, change of speeds, and quicks are enough to get him into that lane on a regular basis.KB's shooting has always been a work in progress, but it's MUCH better than most think, just like his passing skills.
Wesley,I saw as a decent rotation player who was in a situation where he started because we were weak.
Spanoulis is starter material in my mind on a good team with possible major upside.
Anyway,....You never know about the leap to the NBA and then there is Van Gundy. Many factors...
I think playing with Yao and Tracy is going to create many oppurtunities for assists, easy layups, and many wide open threes. And when you factor in this guy's ability to get into the lane/passing ability,I say he does it.
    $100 - 13 and 6 over 3years...It's a bet?

Putting the names Yao and Ewing in the same sentence should be banned.

Spanoulis also finishes his drives or takes the foul. They won't be able to take them off the backboard in the NBA.This boy should be spending plenty of time at the line.

I agree, We'll be the champions.

    Houston won with Spanoulis.

Do you think that will be the starter in PG or Rafer must be the starter.
