I really like that one. But hasn't it been taken? That said, one of the easier ways the Rowdies could use to carve out a nmiche for themselves is to have a few songs/chants that are catchy and endearing. Songs songs galvanize the players and fans alike. This is common in College footbal and Soccer in most regions accross the globe. But it is not done in the NBA and doing it here will likely change histroy for life and make the games more fun. A song like Liverpool's (English Pro soccer team), "you will never walk alone", can be engineered into a Rox song. It tugs the heart and bonds everyone singing it. Everyone has the potential to transform our world and generation either positively or negatively and I am all for the Rowdies changing the way we see our Rox team [in a positive light] for generations after. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pqzRb7LX1TI"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pqzRb7LX1TI" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FU8DdaD9gEE"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FU8DdaD9gEE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5DwJIR6KCLc"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5DwJIR6KCLc" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Some original chants would be cool, but it seems to be a fine line between good chant and laughable chant...a line which the Yao Ming song fell almost right on, to the point where it isn't good anymore. Here's a neat old ESPN article
There was a thread last season to pick a better name ...there was never a consensus winner. So we got what we got.
