The team that rested someone was Brazil in Nene.

that's all fine. but it still has nothing to do with this game. Spain was playing with intensity. Brazil simply got hot in the 4th. when you shoot 80% from 3 and have elite interior defense, you have a good chance to come back.

USA needs to lose by 10+ points for that to happen. very unlikely.

 

If you miss shots there's no evidence of throwing the game. If you compare it to badminton they would've intentionally dribbled out of the lane or pass to the opponent every time.

The reason the Badminton players were suspended was not because they tried to lose intentionally. I suspect this has happened on numerous occasions.

It was because they were so pathetically blatant about it and made a mockery of the sports/Olympics.

 

Probably also because they were helping the other Chinese team to earn a medal. And their action created a domino effect that led to several other teams doing the same thing, so they obviously needed to send a message also.
