another bbs i go to did something similar to this, but it was to a person a guy worked with who was uber-annoying. everyone started calling the guy asking about the ad for his camaro he was trying to sell. just like almu'd has become a verb over here, camaro'd is a verb over there.

 

Kind of annoying that they got away with that. I can understand not having the time and nerve to deal with it, but I somewhat question the lawyer's advice, I think there would have been several things for the lawyer to do without it taking up too much of your time, and it looks like the law should pretty clearly be on your side. Anyway, thanks for the update.

I was just thinking. For a while at least the OP's girlfriend should have still had the keys -- right? So technically they could have gone and stolen it back. The thing about it is, if it's too much of a hassle for you to sue them, maybe it'd be too much of a hassle for them to sue you too.

 

here is what we should do - pick one day next week and everyone call this guy 10 times and just say "YOU DONE GOOFED UP - THE CONSEQUENCES WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!"

The issue with that is that this would have raised other legal issues of potentially trespassing, etc.

 

First of all, sorry to bring up an old thread everybody lol.

My Dad and I are looking to get a new car for myself, and were interested in the Rio and Forte. Which dealership are you located at? We'd love to find a good deal.

 

Exactly what I was thinking.

It would take someone more experienced than I am to figure out the best method to stick it to them, but my first thought was:

1. Personal Army
2. Internet Justice
3. ????
4. Profit/Get your car back.

Of course, I've been spending too much time on 4Chan so my sense of internet vigilantism has gotten a bit warped as of late, but whatever you want to do, I'm in.

Batman drives a Kia? Dayam .... I guess the economy even affects Superheroes.

 

I've ended up with Kia's as rental cars on several vacations...an SUV and mini-van. I thought both were good rides and had nice features. I don't understand the bad rap.
