Anyone else thinking about getting this game. I was thinking more of a rental and then maybe buy, but after seeing the gameplay video I'm thinking about buying it straight away. Comes out March 4th. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/0QHku88cADw?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Unlike past games, Matt Stone and Trey Parker were actively involved in the writing and it shows. My only real concern is whether they will be able to flush this out enough to make it an extended open world experience, the South Park humor can only go so far for 60 bucks.
It looks exactly like an episode of the show, which is what they were going for, and I personally love. It's gonna be funny, but can the gameplay carry it's own weight.
I've been waiting for someone to start a thread on this. I couldn't be more excited for it. First game I've pre-ordered in generations.
Looks like a fun South Park JRPG. Might be worth a rental. Dunno if I'd buy it for $60 unless it was amazing.
Douchebag the Jew. Love it. Butters being your first friend just seems so right lol. Yeah, the gameplay seems way too easy, but I doubt people are going to buy it for the gameplay alone. OTOH, you're paying $60 for a glorified episode of South Park. Unless it has replay value, I think a lot of people are going to pass on the game.
I'm extremely excited about this game; I'm not a huge south park fan or anything but I definitely appreciate their humor. The problem is they picked the worst time to release it; Titanfall comes out a week after, and Infamous: Second Son later in the month among other games (Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, if you're into that). I'm on the fence about it, I might trade some games in for it though. It does look great.
Kind of like a south park episode, just with really poor comedic timing if not writing. Guess it has to be that way, but even as a huge south park fan I couldn't sit through much more of that unless it were really fun to play.
