too many awkward moments i nthe beginning. This is actually one of the few southpark episode I haven't liked.
That was easily the best SP episode in a long while. Not really a current event - Facebook and networking has been around long enough and looks to be staying so it was a classic South Park parody of a cultural thing. Only bad thing was the lack of Kenny.
It wasn't that bad, but they had a lot to work with. The Randy bits could have been much funnier for one thing. All in all, 7/10. Out of the 4 eps so far, none have scored higher.
Seriously??? I thought KFC was just BRILLIANT!!! This one was solid as well imo... Made me want to delete my facebook page!
This one hit a little too close to home for me. Facebook crossbreeding with my family and personal life is annoying as s***. The Cartman Madmoney parody stole the show, the rest was pretty lame compared to that.
I liked the whole FaceBook/Tron thing they had going there for a bit. Heehee. Yahtzee! Randy standing at his son's door going "Am I still your friend?" when he noticed he was no longer his son's FB friend was kind of funny. "Okay...so we're not friends then?"
I thought the whole Facebook topic was moronic, but it was executed as well as it could have been, I was pleasantly surprised although it certainly isn't one of the better episodes.
Like many said great idea, was an average episode but it covered the whole facebook idea. The farm and stock scenes were hilarious. Some parts were incredibly stupid however. I keep getting invites for dumb games like mafia wars, use to get vampire slayers, and farmville.
I guess a lot of people haven't figured out how simple it is to block all the stupid games and requests.
One part I thought was great was the chat roulette thing. This past weekend, some of my friends and I had been drinking and we went on chat roulette and it is literally 80% just guys jacking off
So after rewatching it for the second and third time (Comedy central ran it again and again), this episode gets more and more hilarious each time. "Yahtzee? can't we play speedbikes or something?" I lol'd.
I hear you there. The problem with facebook was that I felt like it was more of a genuine networking site so I used my real name/email to register so there is no hiding from people. On myspace, it was such a joke to me from the beginning that I used a fake name and alternative email address from the start so I never had to worry about family, co-workers or people I don't really like but have to associate with finding me and adding me. Now, I have a facebook page that I can't even rant on because odds are it is either about or will offend someone on the page who I have to deal with in real life. I also thought the episode was weak overall.
The next episode is going to be their 200th. This has potential. <embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:cms:item:southparkstudios.com:267115" width="480" height="400" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="window" flashVars="autoPlay=false&dist=www.southparkstudios.com&orig=" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" allownetworking="all" bgcolor="#000000"></embed>
I created two facebooks. One is my "real" page, where it is completely hidden from the public and I post everything uncensored. The other is my "faux" page, where I am completely open to the public, but inactive and only list the most basic information about myself. People I trust get access to the real page, people I don't, or those who can't handle it, get the fake one.
This is something I considered but have not gotten around to doing but will if I ever find more than five people I trust or like enough to add to an uncensored page.
