last weeks might be the worst episode ever, but this one wasnt much better. im generally not one to complain about all the 'current events' episodes, but this one was just lame. the coon & friends had potential - they should have just done a full episode on that and left out all the bp stuff. Spoiler i did laugh when they showed shamu and tom cruise on the moon though.
really felt like they were trying too hard at times. thought it was lamer than last week. gotta bounce back next episode.
ha, what makes you think they will bounce back next week? Do you still think SP is capable of making good episodes?
Yeah, "McBoogerballs" and "Medicinal Fried Chicken" at the beginning of the season were great. "Poor and Stupid" which was only a couple of weeks ago was pretty damned good as well.
just saw the inception one, and I was thinking the whole time about the college humor video- definitely sounded very similar. Nice to see I was right. Only thing that made me really laugh was Randy's line with 'butterfly poon'
Last nights episode was probably my least favorite of this seasons batch, like someone mentioned the BP thing felt very forced. Best thing about it was the Clockwork Orange scene.
Last one I truly enjoyed was the poker face one last year. That said, South Park is always good for a chuckle in each episode. (mint berry crunch? We used to F*** you. Now we'll DP you? followed by the "moon" shot where a BJ is involved?") But there is always a gutbuster once a year. Hasn't happened yet, but it will.
YES! i think we, i know i did, suspected it, and tonight it was proven. Spoiler kenny is mysterion this set of (2) episodes was way too current eventish. funny in parts, but too forced.
Def not but its kind of growing on me. The whole katoolu thing is weird but ya... growing on me. This ones gonna be a cult classic.
One of the better ones of the young season. Lebron parody was lame and annoying. (too long). The sorry thing...meh. But Kenny saved this one.
Should have just cut out the whole BP thing from the start and just done a straight up comic book story line type deal. Kenny and the comic book paneling on parts of the story were the best part of this entry.
I agree. Once they opened the portal, it was time to kill the BP storyline. That joke was almost dead on arrival... they should've just used it to move the story along, not to milk a joke that was never all that funny.
I think they used BP last night solely to introduce the Lebron parody which IMO was one of the funniest parts of the episode, especially Cartman's comment at the end. I don't recall them using BP anywhere else in that episode. <div style="background-color:#000000;width:368px;"><div style="padding:4px;"><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:cms:item:southparkstudios.com:360451" width="360" height="293" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="." flashVars=""></embed><p style="background-color:#FFFFFF;padding:4px;margin-top:4px;margin-bottom:0px;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b><a href="http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes/s14e12-mysterion-rises">Mysterion Rises</a></b><br/>Tags: <a style="display: block; position: relative; top: -1.33em; float: right; font-weight: bold; color: #ffcc00; text-decoration: none" href="http://www.southparkstudios.com/">SOUTH<br/>PARK</a><a href="http://www.southparkstudios.com/guide/characters/eric-cartman">Eric Cartman</a>,<a href="http://www.southparkstudios.com/guide/characters/mysterion">Mysterion</a>,<a href="http://www.southparkstudios.com/guide/episodes/s14e12-mysterion-rises">more...</a></p></div></div>
Looks like the Cartman/Cthulhu scenes are based on this anime: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pp9PDj_zb1k?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pp9PDj_zb1k?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> I was rewatching the Coon episode and I had totally forgotten that they eliminated Kyle as the true identity of Mysterion early on.
