Makes sense. Too good of a contract to just dump. I expect small pieces to get traded (Jones, KJ, Brewer, maybe even Harell)

 

Jones, Kj and Brew could still net us something decent hopefully.

 

Ok. I think the current rotation (assuming everyone is healthy) will look something like:

Beverley / Lawson
Harden / Thornton
Ariza / Brewer
Smith / DMo
Howard / Capela

Really hope we find a new home for TJones.

 

Good news re: Lawson. Sometimes it can be addition by subtraction, but he REALLY seems to be playing better as of late, and our defensive woes start with our bigs after Howard, Harden, & Brewer - not with Lawson (although his D on the P&R is pretty bad).

If you want to make a move, see who you can get for Brewer/TJ - I have to believe you can at least get Nene, who could be very solid as the first big off the bench. TJ & Capela have been major disappointments this year.

Reason I'm asking is I'd think the trade for Lawson (and another player) would have to involve one of those 2 guys coming back. Firstly, MIL needs 2 salaries to get Lawson, Mayo and one other salary. And we don't have an open roster spot now. So we gotta send a second player out as well.

So, realistically, if a deal goes down with MIL at this point, it's most like a 2 for 2 or possibly even a 3 for 3 deal. And since Morey essentially gave up a late first rounder for a second rounder for Lawson, I'd think he'd want to get back something to make up for that, not just an expiring contract. So, perhaps MCW or Ennis along with Mayo?? With MIL then taking back a second player(Jones) into one of their TPE's???

Or perhaps a 3 for 3 deal????

Perhaps mean the trade won't happen then. HOPEFULLY.

Not giving up any asset for Lawson. NONE. Vasquez cost a first too doesn't mean he will require a first to get traded. Jones could be used in the roster and be the main backup pf and get like 20+ minutes a night. Doesn't mean the Bucks should trade for him though.
Morrey can go ask Miami or BKN or Toronto or etc.

Good thing that Kidd is not in Houston he won't get to be hypnotised face to face with Morrey. Hopefuly he will also fall the stairs and hurt his head so he won't be able to do any GMing for a while either.
