After 44 games, I think the writing has long since been on the wall. The ship has sailed. The shoe has dropped. The clichéd hackneyed phrases have sprung from my fingertips.

Last night's game notwithstanding, Harden and Lawson on the court together are oil and water. (Another cliché, so sorry.)

But it isn't working and isn't going to suddenly work, unless Lawson realizes, Eff it, I am playing for a contract, after all. Better shake off the doldrums.

if it makes you feel better the FIT of a Mayo-Harden or a Bayless- Harden backcourt is much better than a Lawson-Harden backcourt. Either guy can play pretty well off the ball and will never be as hesitant or as lost in the court as Lawson has looked so far most of the season.

This trade is pretty meh unless we can somehow also unload Brewer's contract at the same time.

    Thanks Bima

But why would we dump Ty just to dump him? He's clearly improved and is NOT the reason we're losing. The whole season has been a failure from training camp. Are there some issues between Ty & the organization we are not seeing?

Lawson, Brewer and TJones for Mayo, Vasquez and Plumlee works if Milwaukee uses a trade exception on TJones. This would also get us under the luxury tax, and clear up $8 million in cap space for this summer.

Funny how Lawson's improvement, such as it has been, is tied to being showcased for other teams: "See? I'm still the Ty Lawson who can play."

Jarrett Jack got hurt, Ty's still here. Ty put out and deleted some semi-cryptic tweet about playing time or wanting minutes or something along those lines (someone else can go dig it up).

Maybe he'll give us more now than he did before if he's stuck here, but that's a big "maybe" and a big "if".

The offense only looks good when lawson was in the game. I mean the ball was moving. He needs to be playing 35+ mins a game

I've always felt Ty should/would be integrated in .....

The exception being if THE "yes" comes.

Dealing him for these guys might look good in the short term to some, but IMO would be a crucial mistake ...Henson IS good though ....and getting better.

Bayless never lived up to what I thought he could be. That said, he is precisely the hybrid 1/2 offensive type that would work well opposite James at times. I wouldn't hang my hat on Jerrod 24-7 though...You need more than him to do it year round...ergo..

Mayo..... streaky good shooter...that doesn't possess the handles of Bayless, but is a better defensive player. I could see them plugging in well.

I've never liked Vasquez, going back to college...bad attitude. I'll admit though, he's been a better pro than I figured...with some upside too.

IT WOULD BE SHORTSIGHTED TO DO THIS THOUGH.

Capspace/facilitator or keep Lawson..with full integration

Would rather deal Lawson for Mayo and Bayless. That saves around a million.

Then trade Brewer and Jones in another deal for another big men or Ryan Anderson in a 3 or 4 team trade. This saves about 2 or 3 million.

That should clear 3-4M off our cap which should take us out of the luxury tax, right?

I know you've already got replied to a lot, but lol, this has to be the best joke I've seen on here. Hopefully not serious because there's no way anyone can believe that... if so let me know what drugs you're on because fantasy land sounds fun! :)

Honestly, I would prefer not to see Vasquez in a Rox uni.

Hopefully, they can find a 3rd team to make a deal work (if this is something that the team wants to pursue).

The salary dump that Bima suggested adds an interesting wrinkle.

    Like Sacramento
HOU in: Casspi (SAC) + Mayo (MIL)
MIL in: Lawson (HOU) + Dekker (HOU) + Butler (SAC)
SAC in: Jones (HOU) + Plumlee (MIL)

    or Charlotte (my favorite deal)
HOU in: M. Williams (CHA) + Mayo (MIL) + Daniels (CHA) + Harrison (CHA)
MIL in: Lawson (HOU) + Dekker (HOU) + Hairston (CHA)
CHA in: Jones (HOU) + Vasquez (MIL) + McDaniels (HOU) + Plumlee (MIL)

    or Orlando
HOU in: Frye (ORL) + Mayo (MIL) (Fryes with Mayo!?!)
MIL in: Lawson (HOU) + Dekker (HOU) + McDaniels (HOU)
ORL in: Jones (HOU) + Vasquez (MIL)

or New Orleans (you could also take out Plumlee & Asik = deal still works)
HOU in: Anderson (NOP) + Mayo (MIL)
MIL in: Lawson (HOU) + Dekker (HOU) + Asik (NOP)
NOP in: Jones (HOU) + Vasquez (MIL) + McDaniels (HOU) + Plumlee (MIL)

or Phoenix (I would hate this particular scenario, but it would make sense)
HOU in: Morris (PHO) + Mayo (MIL)
MIL in: Lawson (HOU) + Dekker (HOU) + McDaniels (HOU)
PHO in: Vasquez (MIL) + Jones (HOU)

Either way Houston would pick up combo guard to pair with Harden and a stretch-4 to push Capella to bench so as to make bench stronger.
