Yep. I wasn't as hyped about this as other posters just because we need defense and rebounding at PF, but just looking at his contract he's a friggin steal. $2.5m this year, $3.5m next then $4.8m the year after when he would become a RFA and we'd have his bird rights. When you're an over the cap/tax team like us, getting players and team friendly deals like that is always good.
Morey playing the long game. Jimmy Butler leaves Philly this summer. Morey does a sign and trade. Sixers get Saric and Covington back. No harm done. Everyone is happy.
I understand. He would be fine paired with Capela, but he would be a liability in other combinations. (not nearly as bad as Anderson was though)
I don't follow him, so I don't know how he plays. That's why I asked. But from the few times that I watched him(4-5) when he was on the 76ers, he didn't do anything spectacular.
Hell, I'd be a decent team defender if Embiid was my teammate, I, white, 6'2", 50 years old, high-arched feet and all. "Joel, HELP!" But yeah, he's not turnstile matador bad by any means.
Well with Thibs gone we can maybe get a fair deal, otherwise they'd be demanding Harden... Jokes aside. I'd be surprised if we got him for nothing, would be nice, but I'm expecting Gordon is going somewhere. Saric is a 24 year old former 12th overall pick. He won't come cheap because of the 'potential' tag. Offensively, he'd be great here...defensively...he'd have to work on some things...but that's what we have Tucker for. Unsure of how the lineup would be as it is hard sitting Tucker but you get a young prospect like this you would like to start him to boost his confidence and show belief in him.
Hayward and that garbage contract for another 3 year? talk about throwing Harden's prime out the window...geez..... not sturdy enough. sorry.
You have to give up something to get something bro maybe Hayward gets back 100% and we screw Ainge lol
