i mean he's coming from a mediocre team, then traded to the worst team who doesn't even want him. There's not exactly many places where hes going to just get a ton of minutes. they'll need to find those playoff teams that have a consistent role to be filled in order to continue to get another contract like they would like. Assuming they play well of course
If a team trades for AD, they will be left with inumerable holes. Whether it is the Lakers, Denver, Clippers , NY or whoever else. Gotta wait for the deadline to finish and then choose.

He's not a bad defender. That notion is presumably because he got benched for Taj in favor of defense. IDK why you wouldn't trade a first for a talented guy who is still very young and fits in very well with the Rocket's style. There are people in this draft that are the same age as him and the Rockets first isn't like its in the lottery or anything. Saric is a good shooter, decent rebounder and good passer for his position. He's not a plus defender but the bad defense thing is overblown imo.

Morey has no scouting ability at all. He's legitimately only going for bad players. Actual bad NBA players. He'll be fired by late April at this rate.
He is a bad defender, he has always been. The sad part is he actually tries hard and he's still bad. It's not just a notion, it shows in the statistics and his teams have had to deal with it and it's a talking point about his development every year he's been in the league. You can say he's not Enes Kanter level bad (i.e. in the 15-20 worst defenders out of 450 NBA players), but he is certainly bad, well below average. He has plenty of good qualities, defense is not one of them.
Legit starting to think Morey offered 4 first round picks for Butler as a stress test to see if the bullsh-t was real. It's real.
