    I'd also prefer not to stay within the top 10 in defense.

    Good to hear.

    To anyone, aggregated together how much salary could they bring back and at the same time be under the LT?

    Is it really not going to happen?

    I feel like there are going to be some very good buyout candidates so I don't know if it's worth making a trade. We are competitive with the Warriors - even improving your 7th or 8th rotation guy is a significant boost. If the universe aligned to bring us Tyson Chandler and Joe Johnson, and the Warriors don't do anything significant, then I would be VERY confident heading into the playoffs.

    I say we get picks? That's the only thing I can think of because trading them would open up cap for one of the buyouts?

    That's my only guess.

    @BimaThug ?

    There is no cap to open up. You will not get picks for them.

    One more hour to go. I don't anticipate anything to happen. Buyouts may be our only hope.

    Hey @Clutch the Rockets could help out the Blazers LT situation with a Black/Williams for Ed Davis move. ;-)

    Of course. I was telling a few people before the season (Lakers friends of mine) that we had closed the gap when it came to bench production.

    They of course laughed, but it is clearly a reality at this juncture. The Warriors bench of Livingston, Swaggy P, West, Zaza/Bell, etc just isn't all that great. If Swaggy doesn't hit 3's they are relegated to midrange buckets and the Rockets will live with that. Ramp up the D and get your snipers ready.

    Adding JJ or Chandler would indeed take us over the top IF we stay healthy. God willing.

    Then a straight swap or package deal with maybe one of our picks? I'm interested to see what happens because those guys have no role on this roster.

    He comes off the books too. Any benefit to Portland for dealing him?

    Man, Ed Davis is having a really good season (granted in limited minutes) but that is all we would need him for. could be a small ball 5 if needed. Black/Williams + 2nd rounder for Davis would be excellent as Deuce pointed out. Not sure if we would even have to throw in a 2nd rounder since we would be saving Portland money.
