He's shooting 31% the last 27 games. He's 2-8 (25%) his last two games. He's 30% his last 6 games. Random game counts aside, he's 31% over the last 27 games.

I'm still waiting to see any confirmed analysis that Ryan's "stretch 4" ness is a trigger to this offense in a way an otherwise semi-competent offensive PF isn't.

Even more damning, how about other players getting paid $20 million?? Ryan is the 42nd highest paid player in the NBA...

But again, ignoring the salary, his best game of late to me was against GSW... and he wasn't great offensively then, the Rockets still scored enough points, etc. I liked Ryan because of his energy, hustle, activity and rebounds.

No. He has virtually no other way of scoring. He only takes just over 2 non 3 point attempts a game. He gets 1.6 offensive rebounds per game, and doesn't score off most of those.

Virtually all of his scoring is assisted.

But to your credit... his assists are slightly up over the last couple months and his shot attempts are definitely down.

Not this year. And for the most part, the are basically near the same % career wise.
But as noted, EG does so much more for the team offensively overall.

60 other players can shoot better than 36% from the three now. and they bring alot more not only on offense but defense as well. so we're basically paying 20M and starting a player who has only 1 job and he's mediocre at it.

1/5th of the cap, 3rd highest player for the past 13 losses has been -135 BPM. an average of -10 BPM per game. pj tucker a 2nd worst ny far -86 BPM.

so I would say he giving up more points to the opponent than contributing to the team has caused majority of our losses this season

and for the past 25, he's a team worst -59 BPM. Even tariq black is only -18 BPM. so that means everyone from harden, cp3, ariza, capela, ego, lmm, tucker, nene has to play alot harder offensively and defensively to make up for the points given up when rynos in the game.

and if you only count the losses in that 25 game stretch, he's a whopping -104 BMP. -13 BPM per game. no wonder morey wants to get rid of him as fast as possible.

1 how many of them have better range than ryan ?

2 how many of them are career 38% 3pt shooters?

3 how many of them are career VOLUME 3pt shooters?

4 how many of them can play 4 and 5 ?

5 how many of them were the part of the best offense in the history already?

6 how many of them are shooting 39% on last 2 years

7 how many of them were the key for their team to win season series vs gsw ?


Besides ryan can also shoot better than 36%

its just that this is his current average for the season

it tells me ryno is an underrated dunk superstar

 

To be fair here, we don't run any plays for Ryno when we should. I would love to see some midrange pick and pop to setup easy jump shots for him from the elbow or post him up at the elbow for this Dirk impersonation. Both of those shots are money for him and I wish we would do it a lot more.

I don’t think 18 points a game puts anyone IN that conversation...but it’s clear you’ve missed my point as bad as Ryan Anderson misses a wide open 3 pointer at Toyota center.

He COULD do it.
He COULD do half that and it would still be excellent.
But if he misses the first shot, he seems to dwell on it. If he had a better mindset, 3/8 nights would happen more often with an occasional 6/8 night because he has the confidence in his ability.
He doesn’t lack talent. He lacks confidence.

He is the only starter who hasn’t been hurt this year though...
