Mike will put Tucker at C in crunch time...I’d be shocked if Ryno ever touched the court during that time in the playoffs against GS...not with the way he’s been playing and reluctance to shoot for awhile now

They'll both be on the bench.

    And therein lies the problem.

Didn't Clint just have a great game against the Warriors and help us beat them?

Yup, they'll dare him to shoot, and he'll do his usual routine of passing it up or chunking it off the back iron.

You realize that's last year's data right? He was much better last year. He's awful this year. I'd like to see the same chart for the 17-18 season.

he was 40% on the year last year... this year he is 37%

37% from 3 is actually pretty pretty pretty good!

    Sure.

Still you think when the dubs go small with Green at 5 and Durant at 4 that Clint is gonna neutralize Green over a 7-game series?

I was courteous and answered your question. Be courteous and answer mine. If you don't, you're coppng out.

I get your point - but I'd take Ariza and Luc battling another PF over RYNO anyday. RYNO may weigh more but he doesnt play like it.

i wouldn't. yeah in spurts and certain matchups you use them in those situations and thats exactly what mda does but having them in those matchups over a full game. no thanks

No reason for you to challenge me in your post, goodness.

I think I've responded to you every time you've directly addressed me have I not?

As to your question, of course I don't think Capela will neutralize Green over a 7 game series. Green is a very good player. I don't believe there is a single player we can acquire that would play at the 5 that would "neutralize" Draymond Green.

I did it that way to guarantee a response. It's easy to leave stuff dangling.

So basically you don't think we'll beat the Warriors in a 7-game series since there's no way we can neutralize Green in their most effective lineup, the lineup they're going to go to in the playoffs in crunch time.

That's what I'm taking from what your saying. Steph, Klay, Andre, Green, Durant. That's their crunch time guys when they go small. If wet can't defensively counter that lineup...specifically Green and Durant at the 5 and 4 respectively, then we have no chance of beating them.

Our line up against the Dubs Death Lineup depending on who is shooting and playing well. We need someone to punish the warriors on the boards, bring Draymond from under the basket, and score with them down the stretch.
    1. James
    2. CP3
    3. Ariza or Luc
    4. Capella or Nene
    5. Gordon

In a vacuum, I would agree with you. The problem however is that basketball doesn't exist in a vacuum, but rather a sequence of events where each event depends on the previous. So you have Ariza and Luc battling another PF instead of Ryno. Who's guarding the opposing SG or SF during this time or when Ariza and Luc are too tired to do so after pushing and tugging with more powerful and massive players down low? Tucker is a good defender, but not quick enough to gather SG/SF full time. You cannot just take out Ryno and put in Luc/Ariza, it doesn't work that way. Now, what we can do is shift Moute/Ariza over the PF more and move Green into the SF, but then you still risk injury to Moute/Ariza who are not used to guarding PF's for heavy minutes.
