The only reason Anderson is a starter is because of his salary. He is clearly a 20M bench player in terms of his talent. There are lots of things the Rox can do to replace Anderson, for one thing they can just split the time between Tucker and Green.

What the hell is wrong with that rotation? You think the Rox are gonna miss Anderson's 10 pts and 37% 3 pt shooting? LOL thats not exactly some inescapable void of production.

 

In game +/- has a lot of bias and "luck" going into it however season long +/- is a lot more consistent. Anderson's season BPM is a whopping 0.2, while last year it was actually negative. He is a scrub, period.

I will also say that after watching this team play against teams with an inside presence it’s clear we need someone in the mold of Zack Randolph or DeAndre Jordan to defend and provide some beef down low when the outside shots aren’t falling.

but for the last 23 games, RA has by far the worst +/- for the rockets

and 3FGA% goes down by 8% and FGA% goes down by 6.5%

It will be a big part of Morey's legacy what he does with Anderson moving forward. One of if not the worst signing of his tenure here. Will be huge how he corrects this mistake.

Anyway, as the time goes by is more and more clear at some point we'll part ways with Ryan, in the end, it will be good for him too, i'm sure he can still contribute in another team.

 

You can say that it was a horrible contract, and Morey can be criticized for that. But it's absolutely bizarre that it didn't work out here for him. The system seemed perfect for his play style, but he has major confidence issues.
