ahaha that would be really bad idea. Better I be the silent fan.
But it's great if it can happen. Everyone will listen.

Cyber in case you don't know you are really famous. Not just here, there are many from other fanbases who come to CF only to read your posts.
That podcast would be a major hit!

^ Ha. Sounds like Denver (or somebody) is trying to stir the pot in Clipperland.

I really like this angle. Boston won't trade either of the BKN picks for Dwight, but maybe we could get the 2017 swap (i.e. more favorable of Boston or Brooklyn's 2017 1st)

    Something like:

    Dwight, Beverley

    for

Lee, Smart, Zeller, better of Boston or Brooklyn's 2017 1st

It could also evolve into something else. Let's say that Boston has to send Crowder as part of the Clippers deal (which wouldn't surprise me at all). So Boston asks for Ariza instead of Beverley:

    Dwight and Ariza

    for

Lee, Smart, Olynyk, and the BKN 2017 swap

    Thomas
    Bradley
    Ariza
    Griffin
    Dwight

    Looks pretty stout to me.

Guy calls 10, asks about dinner, 10 says "No"

But, rumor has it Guy is going to sweeten the deal by adding a Movie after. Check back later for my Twitter update!

    from yesterday

No insider, but maybe an insider that's pretending not to be an insider?

Let's just say I'm on Basketballhollic's level of being on the inside

But no really. I don't see why Denver could want Blake because Blake will just end up doing the Nuggets like Andre Iguodala did to them next summer. :( But I could see Doc getting a ton of much needed depth from the Nuggets. Barton, Gallo, Faried and maybe even Jokic or Nurkic if Doc feels like being a Bully

Would you do Dwight for Whiteside and drag it?

LMAO REPPED. Even if it doesn't happen good..guess!! hehe

If I were Doc and for some reason I was determined to trade Griffin, I would forgo Faried and ask for Gallo, Jokic Barton and Nurkic.
    Forget the picks.
AND that deal is better than whatever Boston has to offer for a win now team like the Clips.
Barton and Gallo fix the wing problem, and Gallo can play pf in small ball and then you got Jokic who is amazing.
Trade Lance or whatever then for Bass and there you go.

But it's incredibly stupid of Denver and it reeks of owner desperation because their GM is not only a great negotiator but also has proven top3 in drafting. (presti + utah's gm over him).

whiteside is not as good as people think he is. without question no. He's going to handcuff the next team that signs him to a huge contract thinking he can be a franchise player.

No I would not. That would lock down our cap space and eliminate a ton of off season options. That's an all-in move and all it does is make us great also-rans, just another version of the 90s Kings teams.

No. Whiteside is all stats. I'll consider it if Winslow is added. Only if Winslow is added.

In a heartbeat. Morey was willing to take the risk of Dwight walking after half a season while he was in Orlando. I see no reason to take the same risk with Whiteside, who has elite-level defensive talent.

I'd worry about Dragic's surly attitude about Houston, but he's under contract. I'd love to hear more of the Whiteside chatter/rumors about his attitude that are out there and alluded to so often, but it'd be worth the risk.

Maybe. However the deal wouldn't be able to be done on the surface. Miami has to throw in another mid level salary to make the deal work.

Then its a 3 for 1 deal so the Rockets need to throw back 2 other min salaries. So probably looking at Thornton/Harrell possibly.

I'm not a fan of Whiteside off the court obviously (I'm sure in your circle you know more about him than you can say and know what I'm talking about), but I think he can contribute this season for a late season run. I just DONT want to sign him to a huge deal this Summer.

Still... getting Dragic back locked in isn't the worst value to get back for Dwight Howard even though IMO Dragic on his contract will be poor value vs. production if he's playing next to Harden. He's likely your Ginobili type of 6th man... which is pretty fun to think about, but I think Dragic wants more than that for his role.

So sure... in a vacuum I'd do the deal.

(also if you can't trade Lawson in a subsequent deal immediately then you pretty much have to waive him ASAP. You can't have Lawson, Bev, and Dragic on your team. Its not good for anyone)
