You think a team is going to trade more than a 2nd for a bench forward on a bad team whose contract expires in 4 months?
Agreed. They need to upgrade with another physical big if they're going to beat the Jazz/Memphis/Pels ect.... If Beverly is hurt the another guard is necessary. I like a guy like Galloway that can play a little bit of both of the guard positions.
So you would rather give up assets that could get you another big and a PG because you don't like Barnes? I've never met Barnes so I don't know what kind of guy he is.
Just review several police reports to learn all you need. I have strong negative desire to see him head to TheToyShop. I'm for giving for getting; but not just for the sake of moving pieces (to appease innertube fora).
I have always like Wilson game. But for this team right now, I would rather see if the Bulls will let go of Taj Gibson for Brewer, filler and a 2nd then call the Suns about Barbosa for KJ straight up. We definitely need another big, preferably one that is known for defense and/or rebounding. Taj brings that plus he doesn't need much on offense and is very effiecent when he does shoot. And we definitely need insurance for Gordon and Beverley. Barbosa is a MDA favorite and can still score buckets I feel needed.
If we do nothing and lose in the first round I want Morey fired. He got Harden. That only goes so far without adding interior defense and playmakers around him that can make them compete. Having Harden take on the workload in scoring and creating baskets will only get us so far. I'm sick of assests.
I have nothing to add to the WC rumor that Cyberx brought us (Thanks btw, Cyber), but again, I think he's an interesting piece that we (myself included) may be overlooking. He could be another versatile scoring punch on those rare nights that Beard/Ego/FlyRy/Trev aren't shooting well. I like that idea of security. But, security to me, is addressing our bigger needs at certain positions. Today has been quiet on my side. Post-All Star Game travel/hangovers/affairs/goodbyes. One Ear reinforced the point that we may be indirectly involved in deal(s), but we're waiting on a few things to develop. Some of that made sense to me, considering that our pieces are not as attractive in isolation, but when you combine them, things seem to have a bit more upside. Heavier east. Again, quiet for me today...Cyber's Wilson Chandler scoop is fun to consider at the moment. I'm still holding out hope for what I heard earlier in the week--that we're buyers/swooping in for the FB's after the implosion. Busy day tomorrow. I just wish it were as easy as bringing back Dream to fix our C depth, Chuck for some enforcer behavior, Clyde for a scoring punch, Sam/Kenny/BryceDrew ;0 when Pat needs a rest, and hell, Walt Williams as a 4th-stringer if Ego hurts his toe.
I like rolo , I might be one of his bigger fans . The way he played us when he was in Portland was kinda like how Omer Asik played for us his good year ( but younger and more athletic ) . He's not considerably overpaid considering his durability and position . Sure he's limited offensively , but so are out other options at C . The only problem with getting him is that we are 2-3 deep at guys that can only play C . I'd like Harrell to get a shot at the 4 , but that prolly won't happen under the monocle until he develops a 3. If we get him , he's a for sure 25 minute a game guy , so either we'd have to trade Clint or nene . I think Rolo is better than Clint this season ( honestly haven't really watched him tho) but Clint may soon be better , he's certainly a better value , and he already has chemistry with James . For me rolo is a pass, but a tough call .
Free birds- i.e. Pelicans, Hawks, perhaps Phoenix or players that went to Sacramento in the Cousins trade. IMO, Sefolosha for KJ and a 2nd is the best we could hope for.
