Given the Ibaka trade, we know two things: 1) Rockets still value that F word, "flexibility" above all else. 2) they are not willing to give up significant assets for a rental. I suspect that they will try to shore up depth with cheap expiring pieces like Tucker, Young and play the season out; hoping to evaluate and make bigger moves in the offseason
"Trailer park" & "trailer trash" are his favorite insults. Do not disagree with him or post something he disagrees with, otherwise you are "trailer trash".
Wow. The cat has an issue with trailers, parks, and trash. Go figure. Freud would have fun with Bennie. Lots of fun.
This. Although I think Morey and good GMs know what Ibaka is worth in the offseason based on their own projections and talking with agents.
Wilson Chandler did complain about his position on the squad and did ask to be moved. He goes from bench to starter to back to bench. I think he seeks consistency with PT and a defined role.
Hearing all of these rumors about who is available at the all-star game. Demarcus Cousins is available, Jimmy Butler is available, Paul George is available, and the Hawks are no longer interested in trading Milsap and want to add players. Is it worth it to get any of the above at the cost of team chemistry? I really would love to see George and Cousins here if at all possible.
No thanks on Cousins. He's a head case He's clashed with GM's. players and coaches. Not a good track record
All I want is Wilson Chandler, Kyle O'Quinn, and a decent backup PG. You get a decent wing player, and a rim protector that can rebound and then a 4th guard just in case Beverley or Gordon get injured for a short time.
I guess you didn't read my post I'm talking about Chandler's ISO skills compared to Dekker. Dekker is useless when Harden or Gordon arent there, we've seen lineups of Brewer, Ennis and Dekker and its actually Brewer or Ennis who has to initiate the offense, not Dekker for something to happen. They may put up similar numbers but WC is getting his stats on his own whereas Dekker has to fave someone feed him, thats a critical diff between the two because WC can be an option when Harden or Ego is playing bad but Dekker can't. Ur right this is only Dekker's 4rth month playing bball so we dont know how he's gonna turn out. But looking how awkward he looks when dribbling the ball (the ball bounces up so high he looks so stiff etc) I dont think Dekker will be able to become an ISO scorer, he's gonna be a systems or team offense guy IMHO which means he's gonna disappear when Harden and Ego get overwhelmed in the playoffs. Maybe he can be really good 5 years from now, but I dont think Harden can wait that long.
Wilson Chandler has been on my wish list for some time now. His 3 and D are about at Ariza level when he's playing on a winning squad (which has been extremely infrequent). Also a terrific rebounding and D big to target would be Tyson Chandler, if you wanna buy into his long term contract of course. The Chandler Bros.!!!
Don't see Denver doing anything to weaken their team with this Boogie deal. If anything, it may make them more aggressive in bidding for George or Butler.
The "Golden Penny" (#1) was indeed a decent tweak for the Rockets at the time, though Jordan didn't stay long in the NBA. He had some good games for us. The thing is...tweaks to something working well are often better than an entire makeover. Again, Ears say both options are available in different forms, but the forced hand takes place 12 hours or so before the deadline. I'm not sure how I feel about things.... To CyberX's info: I see WilChan as a tweak, but a more significant one with the contract/years. Also, does he put our current roster over the top? In my opinion (Again, I haven't heard anything Rox/WilsonChandler-related), he doesn't fit the immediate needs we have. Still, he's an interesting piece. And, he's not the only Chandler who wants to be on a winner. Losing/poor role situations become exhausting for vets. But, not every team is set up to take on "the new guy," when chemistry is pretty solid. Making sure guys can play with one another and function in the locker room is an investment in itself. This is the West though... so you can't be complacent. Do you do what NO did (granted, they didn't give much up), or do you make a minor tweak, see how things go in the post-season and re-evaluate come summer time? There are many models to follow, each with considerable risk.
