Have you ever heard the expression about broken clocks or blind squirrels? Expressing your opinion that you don't think a trade would happen. That wasn't not what you were doing however. You were disrespecting Clutch and Cyberx (legitimate insider with infinite more value than you) with baseless accusations until Clutch slapped you back down. It's only because you happened to be right this time that you are crawling out of your hole and shamelessly tooting your horn. I don't care that you happened to be right this time as you are just another fan with an opinion and not an actual insider.
It isn't whether you're right or wrong. It was your piss-poor misanthropic self-righteous attitude throughout with which we took such umbrage. Most discussed deals never go down anyway. And the GMs involved say, "We never even discussed such a deal."
Whatever dude. We all have our opinions. And what do you think my Vegas odds of being the most accurate post among 5000+ if I did not know what I was talking about? Understanding the NBA is important. Understanding the overall strategy of the Rockets is important. Understanding the relative worth of players to their teams is critically important. Anyway, best to you and yours. An excerpt from an upcoming analysis that I am working on:
"piss-poor misanthropic self-righteous attitude". I actually like it. It is an ingenious use of language. Can I quote you? And yes you are completely correct. I do partake of that attitude when faced with overwhelming odds. That is certainly my bad. I should certainly learn to stand well shy of the rush of lemmings. Be assured I will never ever do it again.
Long thread, haven't kept up. Has it been pointed out yet that the Lakers won a championship by NOT guarding Rondo? The Lakers beat Boston by not guarding him. Bryant was assigned to Rondo and basically played rover while leaving Rondo wide open and free to do what he pleased. Rondo of course didn't make them pay enough to make them abandon the strategy. Sorry, not interested in bringing this guy aboard.
Yeah you are absolutely right. Pretty much sums up Rondo's game. Sag off of Rondo and prevent penetration and also protect the paint. Pretty much the classic 2.9 taken to extremes. The mantra preached by NBA coaches is that you have to contest the shot if the shooter averages above 31% from beyond the arc. From an advanced stats analysis this makes perfect sense. Rondo with the ball from beyond the arc will always be an afterthought for defenses.
Who the hell keeps bumping this thread after the trade deadline??? Stop wasting our time. It's over people. Move along, nothing to see here.
Someone might've revealed his identity once. Google "cyber x baseball" but please do NOT post your finding here.
It covers a very intricate and complex topic that deserves peoples attention. It is veering ever so slowly into a topic that is of special interest to me. What exactly is the trade worth of an NBA player? How do you evaluate that worth? A topic that I feel sure is at the top of many NBA GM's worry list. Sorry.
Agreed. Well, um, considering a small % of trades actually go through, and the virtually proven theory that Morey always makes a small, backup move, pretty high...
Ainge should have given us Rondo for a bag of chips, he could have been eating Dorritos. Dodged a bullet guys. We don't need a guy like this in the locker room. http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports....e-team-discipline/?ocid=Yahoo&partner=ya5nbcs Rajon Rondo skips Celtics trip to Sacramento without permission, may face team discipline
You should spend some time rereading this thread. And on the trade deadline I said "no trade tonight, no trade tomorrow and a possibility of a minor trade before the deadline on Thursday". Isn't that just about as accurate as predictions come? I am not going to promote this thread. But if you do quote my posts I may respond.
There was no problem with you making a prediction about a proposed trade. Your problem was acting like a d-bag towards an insider that has been confirmed by the founder of this site.
Not someone that gives up on a team after being paid to play , isn't that what everyone was saying with Asik? If we really need him he can be had in the offseason while giving ample time to see if how he really looks post injury.
