So far, it doesn't sound like Boston wants Asik or Lin. Seems like those poison pills are... poison.

Sounds like they want draft picks, or cheap, proven talent like Parsons, Jones, DMO.

Personally, I think TJones is better than a first round pick. First round picks bust all the time. With TJones, you know you're getting a stud PF for cheap. Perfect piece to build around.

Man... Boston is going to be a Godly team in a few years. What an epic rebuild.

Giving up Parsons would be a huge mistake unless you are getting an All Star. As a fan I would be hugely upset if it were Rondo for Parsons: a chemistry killer for a glue guy. No thanks.

Rondos's jumpshot has been his weakness, no doubt. But since he has been back, he has been shooting the three pretty well. Last 5 games, he is shooting above 50% and for the season around 38%. Honestly, I don't see or really like the fit but if you have a chance to add one of the top point guards in the league, you definitely have to consider it.

Rondo would definitely boost one of our weaker spots on the team. Lin/Bev have done great this year but it will be hard for them to keep up against the great point guards in the West. Rondo is a sure hand on offense. He will push and move the ball and most importantly, find Dwight and get him the ball better than anyone on the team. I do worry about his health and free throw shooting. With Howard, having another guy that shoots in the 60's is worrisome especially for a point guard. But if Rondo can allow Harden to not spend so much energy on offense by letting Rondo control the offense while James becomes the finisher then I'm all for it.

In regards to Parsons, I'm sure Morey won't trade him unless he gets a stop gap for the 3 in replacement. Putting Garcia or Casspi as the starting small forward is asking for disaster, especially since it looks like we are going to have to go through players like LeBron, KD or George to win a title.

I still think Love is the best case scenario. I could see a trade between Houston, Celtics and the Wolves happening if the Wolves want to move Love now. Houston would lose Asik, Jones, Dmo and filler (Brewer) and (a) draft pick(s) for Love and Turiaf. Celtics get rid of Humpries contract and a draft pick for Omer, Dmo and a draft pick. And the Wolves would get Jones, Humpries expiring, Brewer and a mound of draft picks to sweeten the deal.

He's well respected. Site founder "Clutch" vouches for him, as well.

I don't get why Parsons would want to leave here. After everything he did to recruit Dwight, he bails for another team? The only reason to trade him is if he and his agent have made it known he expects way more in salary than the Rockets are willing to give him.

Asik or Lin, maybe even both would have to be included for salary matching purposes.

Rondo is gamer in the playoffs and really brings it, he has to be accounted for on both sides of the ball. This is maybe what Morey is envisioning. He would have two superstar two way players w/flawed offense (rondo,Dwight) and one superstar who is one of the top 3 elite offnsive players in the league (harden) who is flawed on defense.

No matter what fans here think Morey is a smart man and all the signings and trades he makes are nice but ultimately GMs as with players and coaches are judged on championships and Morey won't stop dealing till he gets one (then he'll prob deal some more lol)

At the end of the day talent wins in this league and losing chandler parsons for rondo, while today might sting is a no brainer move for this team. By adding rondo we no longer have a disadvantage when facing the clippers, okc and spurs at pg spot. While the most sure not have the answer for harden and Howard and that why you make the deal and become the favorite IMO out west. Rondo make guys better he'll make whoever takes the sf role over look really good.

I gathered that. I'm simply wondering how accurate his predictions have been. Was he the one who predicted Howard was coming before official news broke out?

If CP is in any deal I guarantee you we will be getting Jeff Green in return and we won't be giving up TJ...

    Asik
    Lin
    CP
    1- 1st rounder

Is all we need to offer to get

    Rondo
    Green

That would be a fair deal... Remember you have to give to get

Howard- probably has the most to gain from the addition of Rondo. Finally a championship caliber point guard who is able to feed him the ball.

Jones- keeping jones to develop will be huge towards the tail end of Howard's contract.

Green- the shooter we need who can also rebound! Not much of parsons loss will be felt.

Harden- Rondo's presence will bring out the best in James Harden. His defense will be forced to improve and he will work off the ball in a Rondo/howard pick and roll

    Rondo-Leader (defense will vastly improve)

I don't doubt that he's hearing what he says he's hearing, but I doubt that it'll actually happen.
