There's a good chance Gordon would welcome a trade like this, Nook said he would like to start, and aside that i believe what Nook said, it also make sense if you think the Rockets were not able to extend Gordon, if he wants to have a bigger role to end his career, that's not something he can achive with the Rockets.

I’d also think he wouldn’t want to move to Minnesota all of a sudden with very little preparation. But yeah neither of us actually know what’s going through his mind.

first off Thibs is gone if they trade Butler. 2nd they got dieng, kat, taj doing a bulk of the minutes already. I mean Tucker is a lot more important to us than their team. Their philosophy on defense isn't to switch everything. I just don't see them valuing Tucker as much as us. Gordon is much more important where he can generate offense off the bench where they're lacking right now. Drose and Gordon can cause some trouble for teams in the 2nd unit.
Said the offer was from our end for Butler, the first tweet made it seem like Minny was making an offer at us which prolly wasnt the case.
The deleted tweet was from the Scoop B guy, again "To clarify previous tweet, the Rockets will offer a package of Eric Gordon and fillers." It just turned the original one into very obvious "duh" news.
You just performed really well at your job and now you have to pack up and start your new job in Minnesota ASAP. Again, like someone else said maybe he wants a bigger opportunity, but it would affect anyone.
He isn't gone If he gets PJ Tucker back, I guarantee you that. Dieng, Kat are Centers. Taj is strictly a PF that should be coming off the bench. PJ would easily, EASILY soak up 32 minutes at the SF/PF position. In fact, he would start.
