Lou Williams, Pat Bev, and filler wouldn’t be horrible. Lou Williams has one of the best contracts in the league.
Wouldn't make sense for Minny though. Their team is KAT and Wiggings now with Butler leaving, at 22 and 23 years, a soon to be 32 year old Lou Will would just be incredibily far off from the teams core. Minny's goal should be to add another core piece, or one that has potential to contribute with their core. They lost Lavine, Dunn and Lauri for Butler, they need to try to recoup at least one young talent. Clipps need to add either SGA, or Robinson + a 1st.
Is it possible that Jimmy Butler is playing us? He literally chose the worst time (before media day) to demand a trade and his preferred teams teams all have easily beatable trade packages. Is he trying to depress his trade value to make sure his future team doesn't get stripped in any trade? No player who has demanded a trade to a specific team (kyrie, PG13, Kawhi) since the new CBA agreement has been traded to that team - except when Carmelo caved and consented to a Thunder trade last season. I think Butler may be reading this situation on a different level than we are.
Any trade involving their rookies or future picks wouldn’t make sense for the Clippers, in my opinion. If Kawhi stays in Toronto and Kyrie stays East, Jimmy could bolt. Doesn’t matter what he tells them now, he won’t sign anything until the summer. Way too risky for a team trying to rebuild a roster. Even if he doesn’t, if they don’t land another star, I think they’d rather have SGA than a super maxed Jimmy leading them to mediocrity.
Yeah that’s definitely a strong possibility. I think Minny would value a guy like Roberson big time. More than EG. He’s super young, one of the best defenders in the league, and locked into a very decent contract. With KAT and Wiggins contracts that’s a huge asset. EDIT: OKC would be looking at three guys with max contracts next year though

It’s probably in the teams ultimate and long term interest to honor a player worthy wishes to preferred team. This on the other hand is a mess and Jimmy may not end up anywhere near what he expected. He bolts or not. That player,coach,owner relationship is damaged on many levels. I don’t think we have what it takes but I bet Butler wished we did when the curtains close!!

CP3 was not a preferred teams list situation. He had the option to become a free agent the same summer he was traded. He told the Clippers I’m leaving you now or in a few weeks so may as well work with me.
