Our ideal targets are Winslow and Oybre. Old star - cp3 Star in his prime - Harden Young star - Winslow/Oubre That's the thought process here. We're not going to go all-in on Butler. We will take him....at the right price. But not a desk that landlocks us going forward. It is most likely we either aren't involved at all or we are the third team using Chriss and perhaps one or both Nene/Edwards as bait to recover a second round pick, an expiring contract, and a TPE. Or perhaps even a Marcus Morris type as part of a 3-way. (But not likely.) Winslow/Oubre are headed to restricted free agency next summer. And both their teams need out of the luxury tax this season. Most likely a deadline deal with us taking out the other team's trash (bad contract), getting one of those teams either under the tax or a lot closer to getting under the tax. Will cost is some assets and luxury tax. But will leave us set up for a championship run and an extended championship window. Bring Winslow home baby. (My preference)
Thanks but realistically im not calling this at all. Just telling some if what I know. We're not getting him right now unless he goes off cheap. Red my other posts. We're going to be watching and talking to Toronto, Minny, Miami, and Washington about Kawhi, Butler, Winslow, and Oubre until those players situations are all resolved and we either scare one of them or we land someone totally unexpected like AD, KP, KD, PG. The four guys, KL, JB, JW, KOjr, are at the top of our radar screen.
Lol Thibs, you reap what you sow. All of the acquisitions made in the last two years were under your watch and now you want to bail on the franchise because you can't even make the 8th seed?
Looking at Miami's roster, hard to see Winslow being available as he is their best young piece moving forward along with Richardson. Oubre, is a different matter. They have Wall, Beal and Porter (AT OUBRE'S POSITION) in place. They drafted Tony Brown who ALSO plays Oubre's position. They are in the LT. All of this sets up for Oubre being available in certain scenarios. I don't see Oubre being a "star." But he can be a solid wing role player.
I am telling you talks with Toronto about Kawhi at any point this season are not happening. If you’re saying a source told you this then that source is delusional. If you’re making an educated guess then you just don’t know about what’s going on in Toronto.
Surprised it took a day for you to hijack another cyberx thread with completely unrelated random trades, trying to give them the force of sourced, piggybacking cyberx. Go back through the 49 pages here. You won't actually find another random trade idea that doesn't involve Butler, until you changed the subject. I guess this thread will turn to an ad hoc random trade idea thread now. thanks <-- sarcasm
I would love to see Howard and Butler on the same team. That screams "Player's Only Meeting" every week.
Is there a team that is "less than the sum of their parts" more than the Washington Wizards? Confounding.
This. There are NO plans for the Raptors to entertain calls about trading for Kawhi Leonard and the Rockets do not have the assets to get Leonard even if he becomes available. The Raptors intend to make every effort to resign Leonard to a full max contract next summer.
Signing Beal to 5 years $125 million Matching Porter's offer sheet of 4 years $100 million Extending Wall to 4 years $169 million For a trio that has never won more than 49 games in a regular season nor made it to the Eastern Conference Finals.....
Here's a challenge: I will contribute $30 to Clutchfans to the FIRST person that can find THREE predictions where Jopat has been correct on since he came back as Basketballholic. This will give you Contributing Member status.
