Dude. I live in Toronto. I got friends chirping me all the time. People at the gym telling me how Ujiri is god and the raps are the best. Right now I just tell them, we were great last year, we’re crap this year, but the result will be the same, Warriors Championship. And it’s not like Raps weren’t number 1 seed last year too. And seeing that we took the Warriors to a Game 7 and the CP injury, nothing the Raptors will do will impress me barring them beating the Warriors or winning the ‘chip. But my god if that happens, I’m going to have to relocate.
Oh jeez, my condolences haha. Good luck with that, though I heard Toronto is a pretty great city though besides that.
Haha. Yeah Toronto is dope. I honestly would be shocked if Kawhi doesn’t re-sign here. Most money, great basketball success and fan base, and fantastic city. Cold winters, though it’s been getting way less extreme recently.
We need to find a way to put Paul on ice till he can be traded to keep his value up. We need to dump him and his monster contract to a team that needs his skill set. Butler & Teague, please. WIN / WIN
If the Kings hold on, the Wolves will fall to 4-9. Unless the Wolves are dead set on waiting until mid December (when they may get less), I have to think they are more willing to make a move the quicker they dig themselves a hole. I don’t ever want to accuse a player of tanking. However I find the play of Jimmy Butler down the stretch tonight puzzling. He isn’t involved in the offense in crunch time. The Kings miss 10 straight shots. The Wolves cut the Kings lead from 11 to 2 when Butler is sent to the line with 4 minutes left to tie the game. Instead Butler oddly misses both free throws... then blows a defensive assignment... then turns the ball over and leaves his man open again. He just had another turnover. At a minimum Butler didn’t seem especially interested. After the missed free throws the Wolves were outscored by 9 points in the last 3 minutes and Butler didn’t attempt a shot other than his missed free throws. Not sure how much longer the Wolves can do this. It was obvious down the stretch Butler was at a minimum deffering and not playing like he normally did down the stretch.
Butler played 41 minutes in the loss. He looked like he was trying to lose in the fourth by bricking free throws, careless turnovers, and icing kitty KAT out.
Sounds conspiratorial but I watched it and I agree with you. When the Wolves made their run, Butler suddenly was passive on offense, didn’t make his free throws and turned the ball over multiple times.
Amin Elhassan on LeBatard said that Thibs doesn't want to trade him. Said Tobias Harris was offered at some stage along with a bunch of other better deal than what they have now.
No doubt that Thibs doesn’t want to deal him and it will take the owner stepping in for a deal to get done. It is a question of at what point does Butler force the Wolves to do something. I would be surprised if the Clippers offered Harris.
i find it hard to believe they offered harris but if they did thibs has to be fired or ar least stripped of GM for turning that down. no way they get anyone better than him in the deal
