Codman was hot on Tobias Harris, who rejected an offer in Clipperland and wants away from Doc (again, according to Cod), but, as I've mentioned, I don't know if Tobias is a reasonable expectation or simply Cod's preference (believing Butler to be just out of reach).
IMO, Tilman is not interested in the following players: (unless they take Knight's contract) LeBron Love Tobias Harris (ask for $25 million per season) Terry Rozier (ask for $18 million per season)
For sure. If Brandon Knight doesn’t play much, I don’t see how Morey wouldn’t flip him to another team for a player on a similar contract ready to move on. A team like Cleveland is a perfect example. If they can get a pick out of it, what do they care if they’re paying Knight or someone like JR/Korver/TT. All will be entering the final year of their deal. Teams like Washington and Dallas are probably in the same boat but not sure what players would make sense for us there.
And you might not be able to get that. They don't grow on trees. I am not even saying Beal is available at all. But he is young, is one of the best shooters in the NBA. And is under contract at a respectable amount.
which means he will be even harder to get than Jimmy Butler, and he’s not even our most pressing need
I read that Korver had a gentlemen's agreement with the Cavs if Lebron leaves for him to traded or bought out which they haven't fulfilled yet. If we need to include EG in the trade for Butler then I could see Korver coming here and playing 15-18 minutes of lights out 3 point shooting.
I kinda regret even brining up his name, tbh. The Rockets biggest need though from a "macro" sense is improving their "margin for error" as it relates to GSW. And that comes from a higher ceiling. And that comes from stars at any position and adjusting the lineups accordingly. If they can "match" their NEED to a purple squirrel, then great.
I just don't know if he would be worth it this season, this is a pretty big surgery and he's at the tail end of his career. Maybe with some time to recover and if he's available next year on the cheap, I would say do it. Right now, what the Rockets need is players that can shoot and defend.
i dont understand this.... if jimmy wants to get traded so bad then wtf is he even playing? why is he even trying during games? i know the man is competitive as f*** but still... if you wanna get out why make yourself look untradeable?
Unless someone takes Knight's contract My point of view is to look for small contract. Chriss/4 picks for someone like Tatum (not Tatum). Tilman is not going to approve Love or Harris' contract. In the tax land, it's hard to overpay Paul, Knight and Love's contract in the amount of $45 million before tax.
