No one ever wants to 'help' us, but teams were lining up to take Bogut off the Warriors hands so they could get KD. (us included)
Why the **** would Minnesota care how good the Rockets are when they have no chance of competing with us in the foreseeable future? If they are truly willing to sacrifice a trade that would benefit their future because it would make us too good in the present than they are as dumb as we thought they were. Idiots.
It’s not ok to let a player make you look like a yo-yo. The irreparable damage done to the team inside plus the fact no player will want to touch Minny because of how they treated JB has and will set this organization back at least five years. The world knows four picks was offered and Minny decided to stay the course, even with JB on pace to play 40 games. The Rockets offered Thibs a way out and so far he has blown it.
Utah also took Andris Biedren, which was the worst contract in the NBA at the time, so the Warriors could sign Iggy The Warriors offered Steph Curry for Bogut, but the Bucks said, "No. We want that Monta Ellis guy" Unbelievable.
The thing is, we're kind of an old team anyway, and they're a young team. If they give us Butler, it means we can beat up the Warriors the next couple of years, possibly make them not an automatic destination for ring chasing vets. And therefore, in a couple of years when (IF!!) the Twolves young guys develop, we are aged and out of the way while the young Wolves move up to usurp the Warriors, who no longer have an aura of invincibility because we beat them. (ok, quite a few long bows in all that - but still)
If not including Eric Gordon is actually the hold up rockets must be crazy. We will miss EGs three point hot shooting *when he’s on anyway* more then will actually know as EG really is a hidden talent but he can be very inconsistent and shoot poorly for stints. but Jimmy Butler still shoots threes well, he’s better overall, he’s bigger and can guard superstar players like KD and Lebron Which could make a key difference in a series with either of those teams. And he’s a workhorse like Tucker *Same energy* which is exactly what this team needs. Paul, butler and Tucker’s intensity would be a sight to see and I can only imagine contagious to other players. You try to replace Eric’s three shooting by swinging for a trade to get Korver, JR smith or both. Maybe pick up nick young or another potential free agent. Look for buyouts. Tell Melo to start chunking lmao.
Is this true? I never heard that EDIT: just googled it. They never had intention to trade Steph, just used his name in trade talks. Interesting nonetheless though.
Jimmy trying to win votes with his people. Paying the bill, meanwhile, the 2 dude with Max Contract refuses to play hard or defense, refuses to hook teammates up despite MAX Contracts. Jimmy said, "I gotcha dawg. I'm one of you. I came nowhere. I ain't got them max contract and I work hard for everything I got. I know how it is bro. Those 2 KATS with Max contracts, they ain't with us"
i think their fanbase just want this side show to be over with. the team is under .500 WITH butler. i know he has sat out a couple of games, but still. what is the point of having him if the team isnt going to make the playoffs, let alone be a contender. they screwed themselves not taking that heat offer with josh richardson in it earlier. if the heat are smart, they have removed him from the deal. he is like a younger version of butler. rockets have now started to win, and have our defensive coach coming back. the panic here is dying down, theirs is increasing. they continue to lose making it clear they need to hurry about and resolve this. hopefully reality sets in that winning now isnt really feasible. keep building for the future and get stronger as GS weakens. id focus on unloading dieng and getting picks than worrying about making the playoffs this year when they have no chance of winning it all anyway.
Enough with the NBA conspiracy BS. The NBA would love if every single market was a big market team making billions. The NBA is about money and there's huge money in sports betting. Another team out there as a sure thing bet every night is easy money for the league.
It's true. Just like the Knicks lowball Kerr. But then gave that same money to Derek Fisher. So Kerr could have been coaching the Knicks, but Knicks lowballed him. The Owner wanted to trade Curry. The same Owner also wanted to trade Klay and Draymond or Barnes for Kevin Love The luckiest team in HISTORY. THINK ABOUT IT! Bucks didn't want Curry. Curry had to accept a lowball offer for $48 million because he was injured. Allowed them to sign Iggy and then KD when salary cap raised for one year. Remember, Curry was this injury prone LIGHT SKIN daddy's kid while Monta was the guy that scored 26 points every season IT'S CRAZY Now they get Cousins and this Alfonso McKinney guy that is the talk of the NBA Joe Lacob told the press something interesting about who else could have been sent if not Ellis in the trade: “I’m getting chills talking about (Ellis) right now,” Lacob said. “He’s one of my favorite players in the NBA. Anyone who thinks otherwise is crazy. I feel very strongly about him. It was incredibly difficult to trade him, but he’s the piece it had to be to get Andrew Bogut. We would have traded either (Curry or Ellis) to take the next step for this franchise.” https://nba.nbcsports.com/2012/03/1...would-have-traded-him-for-bogut-if-necessary/ via GS Warriors owner Joe Lacob talks Steph Curry injuries and trade possibilities | Golden State Warriors | an SFGate.com blog. The Warriors thought they had the franchise in 2009 when they drafted him. He was a rookie of the year candidate. But injuries have been a recurring issue and Curry doesn’t dominate offensively, or at least hasn’t with the current structure of the Warriors. Good, maybe even great, not dominate. Lacob’s comments are a pretty clear indication that the Warriors are not sold long-term right now on Curry’s position in terms of being a franchise player. Maybe he and Bogut can thrive together if they both get healthy. It’s way too early to give up on Curry, and the kid flat-out shoots the light out. He’s about a million miles away from a bust. But Warriors ownership has already admitted being prepared to move him once. Whether that means they’ll have to consider it again depends on his health, his play, and how the Bogut gamble works out. The Warriors are considering shutting down Curry for the season.
TWOLVES help the WARRIORS TWICE! or 3 times! or 4 times! 1.) Drafted Rubio 2.) Drafted Flynn 3.) Let Warriors draft Curry 4.) Asked for Klay for Love and wanted more, including either Barnes or Draymond. Kerr and West said NO after TWOLVES kept asking for more. Sounds familar? 5.) Refuses to deal Jimmy to the Rockets. Rockets only legit Warriors stopper. Already defeated Warriors last year, but helped by Zebra and Silverman. Jimmy would flat out stop Curry, Klay, or KD Screw the Wolves. It's SUPERTUESDAY and we want JIMMY IN HTOWN. 2020 NBA Story: What if the Wolves Traded Jimmy Bulter to the Rockets? Would Rockets be the new dynasty? Would the NBA still be alive? Would people still watch the NBA? https://dunkingwithwolves.com/2017/06/11/minnesota-timberwolves-kevin-love-traded-klay-thompson/ The landscape of the NBA would be a lot different if the Timberwolves and the Warriors traded Kevin Love and Klay Thompson. What if the Timberwolves drafted Stephen Curry, instead of Ricky Rubio, and Jonny Flynn? What if they drafted Demarcus Cousins instead of Wesley Johnson? What if the Timberwolves didn’t trade Kevin Garnett? What if… the Wolves traded Kevin Love for Klay Thompson? The NBA might not see the Cavs and the Warriors completely blowing everyone out of the waters like they are now. The two teams would still be competing every year for a chance to go to the finals. Bu, the talent would be a lot more spread out throughout the NBA. Kevin Durant might still be with the Oklahoma City Thunder, or elsewhere
Man honestly **** that, reduce the offer. Gordon can only go up from how he’s has played. I would say Gordon and one first round pick (or knight and chriss with 2 1st and 1 2nd) at this point nothing more. Gordon is the best player they can get. Miami isn’t giving away Richardson and Gordon is on a pretty good deal for two years. They have already messed up by waiting and if the rockets keep rolling, then their offer should get lowered. If Minny wants to be that dumb to worry about another teams success more than their own, let them compete for 8th seed for next 10 years and lose butler for nothing, we good fam. #runitback #stayhealthy and pick up some waivers
If so he really deserved to be fired. If you are not looking for teams best interest, u should be fired. They have already messed up by waiting this long and I wouldn’t be surprised if teams don’t lower they offer as season goes because they don’t wanna ruin team chemistry, specially if a team doesn’t know whether butler resigns. Sometimes an offer is so good u have to just accept instead of BS counters cuz u never know who is on the other side, they may get upset and just take their offer off the table, like Miami did. It’s happens in shark tank sometimes too lol
I always have to bring this up when people start talking about how the Warriors built this team. A lot of it was just dumb luck. I mean, they drafted Curry, Klay, and Green, I'll give them that, but they had no idea what they had and almost moved all of these guys at some point.
I never got the absolute lovefest for "Discovering" Draymond Green, shout out to hitting on a second round pick, but the same front office honestly thought that Festus Ezili was the superior player, as they picked him at 30, and Green at 35.
