If we can, we need to do this because it cleans up our lineup and leaves us with buyouts and minimums. We will lose flexibility moving forward without picks but that is the price of asset refreshment/upgrading. This is a smokescreen. The newsletter says Miami is just pretending to have broken off talks with Minny, because "Miami and Houston are in collusion" to depress Butler's market, so Miami can get Butler, and Morey can fulfill the newsletter's destiny.

Is Miami really in win now mode though? Even if they got Butler now their roster flexibility is extremely limited. That probably still isn't enough to beat Celtics, Rockets, or Warriors in the next three years either tbh.
