[Haynes] At one point, Butler found himself guarding RTowns in the post and when the big man received the entry pass, Butler yelled, "He can't do [expletive] against me!" and Towns ended up kicking the ball out, leage sources said. Also worth noting: "When practice concluded, Butler stormed out of the facility without stretching with the rest of his teammates, league sources said. However, before he departed, Wiggins gave him a hand dap, league sources said."
Butler: Should people think because you're back in practice, it's fixed or on it's way to being fixed? I think people think that. It's not. It's not fixed. Is it fixable? It could be. But do I think so? No. You gotta be honest. I'm being honest. Do I think so? No. Is everyone gonna be honest? No. If you go and say "Which one of y'all told what Jimmy said today in practice?" *Mimicking everyone looking around* "Oh, I don't know. I don't know." ... I want to win. I'm sorry if I go about it the wrong way. I really do apologize. You feel strongly there is no fit here? Everyone is really, really, really positive about the whole thing but I know the truth. I know the truth, the whole truth. We talked about it. Everyone may not want to say it but you know it. I can tell whenever you're stuttering & gathering your words. If it's the truth, boom, it's coming out right away. You don't need to think about how to say it. Whenever you're thinking about how to beat around the point when I ask if this is water and you say it's not fruit punch. Well obviously. The answer is water. Woj: Butler scrimmaged, as many as 3 scrimmages, against his teammates. Took 4 end of the bench players & beat the starters & covered KAT. At the end of it after beating everyone, literally marched out as if my point was made. It was tour de force in that gym. Miami Heat interested in resuming talks? This is a Pat Riley/Spoelstra player. I don't think in any way is Miami frightened off by seeing Butler (like this). That's the player they want in Miami. Miami remains interested in getting a deal done. Will the owner make the final decision or Tom Thibodeau? He still wants to win with Butler. I don't know if Thibodeau's attitude changed after today.
Twolves and Butler prob came to conclusion to do this to boost his trade value and allow for better trade offers
Butler went into practice like he was Deebo and straight up bullied KAT and Wiggins...I’m loving this
If I was KAT I would be pretty annoyed right now. The franchise and him just made a huge commitment to each other and now the team is letting this circus make him look soft.
Another way to look at today's demonstration... This was Butler's way of saying to Miami/Houston/LAC/whoever: "Send whatever you have to send. I'm worth every penny."
KAT makes himself looks soft...bullied by Capela in the playoffs, and now emasculated by Butler...Towns didn’t even confront him
wow Is Kat spineless or what? Your teammate is trashtalking you and calling you names and you say nothign but then huddle to say keep emotions in check? This isn't maturity this is cowardice.
I’m really jonesing for a Cyber or Codbomb right now that says that Morey is getting more aggressive to get a deal done for Butler.
Butler, Harden, Paul would absolutely be at eachother's throats at times, but then the very next moment they would run through a wall for the one another. Just like Harden and Paul were like last year. Because they are all passionate about the game and leave it all out on the floor, which is why even through disagreements they still would have respect for each other. Harden and Paul couldn't be more different as people. Paul is standup family man and the president of the players association. Harden is a party animal and HOFer at Treasures. But on the court they share that same bond and respect for each other because they have the same love for the game. Butler is in the same mold. Towns is super talented and might be as good as Butler, but he's not made out of the same stuff as these guys. Wiggins isn't even good.
I think we know, no Tucker with EG no deal. I think people are right when they say we could be holding our for October 31st. Also...if we could get rid of Chriss for a second rounder I would do it.
annoyed? He didn't say nothing to Butler and just took the verbal abuse. This guy doesn't have any fire in him. If after all the publicity and honestly the embarassment Wiggins and Kat got after this whole situation they don't go out and play better then seriously they are lost causes. Both of them. You can't be a HOF without any passion.
