Nope. We're not offering PJ by himself (along with filler) for anybody. You're wrong here.

The ONLY WAY Tucker gets offered or moved this season is if perchance Davis comes on the trade block or perhaps a player like Paul George or Portzingis (just not gonna happen) comes on the trade market. We're not trading Tucker for Butler on an expiring deal or for any player less than a Paul George/Davis/KP type player.

I thought the owner took over. Thibs days are numbered here. Let's be honest.

For me the biggest unknown is how Morey undertakes to help offload Dieng. This is the ultimate value-add to Minny that a lot of us & the press have not yet recognized.

Minnesota trying to outsmart the Miami front office and now Daryl Morey is a great subplot in all of this.

I hadn't seen that yet when I posted before, but I get it. I'm glad for the, "whups, my bad" on his part.

Make sense to give up multiple picks instead of PJ if that's possible, i believe that like Nook said, the Rockets are not considering PJ untouchable in a trade for a star, especially since Butler is realistically the last chance the Rockets have to add a third star with this core...but he's probably some sort of last resort like cyberx just wrote, and they would probably ask for something back to put him on a deal (Tyus?). Ch also said they were discussing some scenarios for Butler without giving up both Gordon and PJ, and that he thought Rockets offer was solid (i guess Gordon, Nene, two 1st rounders...maybe 2nd/Hartenstein) so...it all adds up.

What I am hearing, not inside info, just chatter is that the owner is super cheap and there is no way he would fire Thibs and pay the dead money.

You'd need a truly mediocre-to-bad GM to take Wiggins' contract. Maybe Sacramento or Brooklyn, but if they gave up anything more than expirings, then they'd be near Billy King level.

I have asked several times and each time have been told that the Rockets are willing to trade PJ Tucker in a trade for Butler.

I do not know if the Rockets are willing to trade Tucker AND Gordon.

We will just have to disagree.

Since day 1 I have been told that Tucker is not a deal breaker.

There's no way in hell Brooklyn trade for Wiggins, Marks worked with the Spurs and he did a great job so far with the Nets, i'd say he's smart enough to stay away from that scenario. As for the Kings eh, not sure what to think, but Wiggins has been so bad so far...and that 5 year 30M (per season) deal is just awful, i don't see anyone having any interest in him, probably the worst contract in the entire league and by a large margin at this point.

I have a coworker friend from Minnesota. Taylor's "I want to look Wiggins in the eyes" when they "negotiated" that contract is a running joke for Wolves fans.

Taylor: Andrew, are you committed to hard work and earning this contract?

    Wiggins: I cannot tell a lie, sir............yes, I am.

    Taylor: Sign here.

Call me crazy but I'd rather just see a three-way trade that nets us Taj Gibson:

    Gibson to Houston
    Teague to Phoenix
Knight and Houston's 2nd Rounder to Minnesota

    Capela/Gibson
    Gibson/Melo
    Tucker/Ennis
    Harden/Gordon
    Paul/MCW

I don't doubt you were told that. Doesn't make it true.

Are you claiming insider status? You know you need to start taking a bunch of guff for that.....right? Yo, pirhannas....

No, just kidding. Wouldn't wish the kiddie corps on anybody.

Just think about this. Think about how close we were to taking down the Warriors. What did us in? Depth. We weren't deep enough to sustain the loss of CP3.

Now look at us. Wiuld you want to try to defeat the Warriors with BOTH Gordon and Tucker injured????

We wouldn't stand a chance. But somehow we're going to trade BOTH these guys for one player that's slightly better than each of them independently? And if he gets hurt in the playoffs......We're essentially down two primary rotation pieces from last year's team. Which odds are greater, Butler getting hurt or both Tucker and Gordon getting hurt simultaneously? Obviously it's Butler getting hurt by himself. That's not how we win a championship today. It's too risky.

So BOTH guys have NEVER been offered up together for Butler by the Rockets. And Tucker has not been offered up at all. It's Gordon, parts, and a pick for Butler. If we throw in two picks we're getting back another asset (ty/mason/high second/other young player) And most likely if we're involved in the Butler deal at all it will be as an extra team taking on salary in exchange for a significant asset (Winslow/pick) or two.

why would we want another 33 yr old forward ? we already have tucker, who does what he does but has more 3pt range, and melo.
some of yall want to make moves just for the sake of making moves.

I think most people with a modicum of common sense understand that even someone with connections can receive inaccurate info from time to time.

That’s fine. Jesus I didn’t ask for him to be crucified. He doesn’t need someone defending him. He was wrong and he said so himself.

I was mentioning clutchfans’ hearts breaking because a lot of people were calling for ‘holic’s head and when cyberx comes in and takes back what he said you guys are like “no worries” and “you’re not even wrong, your source was misinformed.” Haha. You’re not gonna convince me that’s not funny.

EDIT: @KlutchQT (phone was making t difficult to double quote so just tagged)
