same thing im thinking.. Like really Josh richardson lol... He will never be the player Eric gordon is.
25 year old, 6'6" 3 & D wing. Good defense and close to 40% 3pt shooting. On a team friendly value contract 4/40. These are players in high demand in today's NBA.
Okay, let me try to sort out all the credible info about the Butler deal here. 1. Morey is very aggressive. (What is his offer being "aggressive"?) 2. Either Gordon or Tucker has to be involvled. 3. The Rockets apparently value Tucker more than Gordon (either for current basketball reasons or for future contract reasons, or both) 4. Is Minny insisting on including Tucker being the hold up? Can it be some other assets that turn out to surprise us (e.g. Capela)? We haven't heard anything on this track from the insiders.
I like Gordon a ton. But if I am being honest, Richardson fits the team time line more. He is younger, taller, on a better contract and can grow with KAT/Wiggins. That said, Gordon DOES fit well with the Wolves. Certainly fits better than Tyler Johnson or Goran Dragic as players the Heat would rather give up.
not necessarily when they have towns, wiggins, and teague who all want their shots. Richardson fits in there as that young defensive wing they need who has also significantly improved as a shooter to space the floor for them. He can give that roster more balance that they need
1) I think the "aggressive" part of Morey's approach right now is exploring the 3rd team and finding a way to dump Dieng and/or add more assets to the package. Morey's "base package" has probably always been the same. 2) Gordon has to be involved for salary matching. 3) I don't know if they value Tucker more than Gordon. It is just that Gordon makes more salary. Though, on the team as it stands now, perhaps Tucker is more valuable because Ariza is not here. Tucker's value as a communicator and defensive fulcrum can't be understated. 4) This COULD be the hold up. But we don't know. Seems clear Morey is keeping Tucker off the table and in return looking for the 3rd team to add assets and/or take Dieng's contract.
I think Gordon is better than Richardson as a player but like Deuce said you have to consider other aspects like age, contract...all things considered Richardson is probably a better fit for Minnie, not by a large margin, cause it's not like we're offering Redick or Lee, Gordon is actually better than Richardson imo, but still...
Gordon certainly has a leg up on Richardson as it relates to creating a shot off the dribble and that is pretty valuable in today's NBA.
While scrolling IG I come across a pic Harden posted of himself and it was liked by none other than Mr. Tomball himself.
butler's friends with half our team. remember when harden went into the wolves' lockerroom after butler's knee injury?
yea sounds just like a solid role player but to have him as a foundation of the trade or untouchable for the heats? How does he play for the Heat? I see NBA.com has him listed as a forward and his defensive rating is 103.6 Is he really a good defender, or people just saying he's a good defender because everyone does? I'm just genuinely interested in this kid's game and why he's deem as the piece to make it or break it for Butler.
It's amazing the cognitive dissonance of this fool. Will sit there are tell you straight up that he does not impersonate an insider on here and then the next three posts are his "insight" into the inner workings of Rockets brass. Guaranteeing the trade targets and translating reports like he is not only an insider, but inside the war room himself! Possibly even the one making the decisions in his deluded fantasies
It would be nice if this dragged on to 10/31 when Chriss could be included in the trade instead of Nene for salary matching purposes.
