Give the pubs a deadline, say 24 hours, to make their mind. We don't want our own well to be poisoned.

 

Because they haven't done their homework. All they know is that Trevor and Luc are gone, and maybe that Biglydick took off.

If they dig a little deeper, they could learn that Luc had zero effect on the sterling defense we played against Golden State in the playoffs, and that Trevor, while very solid, is actually pretty replaceable. They would know that CP3 and PJ were the heart and soul of our D, not Trev and Luc. And they'd see that what Ennis lacks in experience he'll make up by being faster and quicker than Ariza, with a much higher motor.

Basically, the hit our defense took was nowhere near fatal. It was a fender bender, and now we're out of the body shop looking better than ever.

But you'd have to do some work to uncover all that, and most sportswriters don't even bother because it's easier just to parrot what they've been hearing.

At the end of the day it's just not worth giving up PJ. For now let's roll with the guys we got, play the buyout market and see if we can boost the value of BK, Chriss, Hartenstein etc so they can be flipped

 

I would trade PJ Tucker and EG for Jimmy Buckets

 

We don't need to give up Tucker and Gordon that's too much for a one year rental.
