Perhaps you are right. With Thibs as the Wolves GM perhaps he will make a call at halftime and make a trade.
Ehhh its kinda hard to say on one had, yea he got them to the third seed but on the other it's like, everybody hates eachother and KAT and Wiggins are horrible defensively and so is their defense as a whole. It feels like Thibs should have gotten them to buy in and he hasnt.
It is the trickiest. But the Phx is a sneaky good asset. And tbh I think Sacramento would want and get the 2019 1st since they owe theirs. Meanwhile, Minnesota may be willing to take a gamble on a future 1st when we possibly start to decline. But again idk lol I was just bored
If you want anyone on Minny, the goal is to side-step Thibs and go to the top. You won't find personal feelings up there. Just business.
This guy Basketballholic tries incredibly hard to get people to think he’s an “insider” but he’s just a troll. Let’s all please stop giving this guy any more attention or weight. The only insiders are people who Clutch has co-signed, which I believe he did with Cyber.
Thibs seems to have destroyed his rep the last couple of weeks. I'd be surprised if he finds another NBA job after this.
Miami is over the cap and with trading Justice Winslow 3mil for JB 20mil they have to trade close to I think another 12 million to make that work. Dion Waiters coming back from injury, Kelly Olynik insert Gorgi Dieng, maybe James Johnson, but Minnesota in win now mode they want a Butler replacement not a project and a role player. Gordon offensively replaces Butler and helps with floor spacing for KAT who they just paid the Supermax.
Okay, so I'm bored to. Looks like the Texans game will be the same as the last 3 weeks, so here are some trade thoughts revolving around this. So what if Minny really wants to get out from under Wiggins? Young not so star locked up on a bad contract by almost everyone's standards. Well, Sacramento is surely the best place to do that now if you want to right now. Trade proposal: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y7mpkfuk Houston In: Butler Houson Out: Ego, Nene, 2019 1st, 2020 2nd Minny In: Ego, Nene, WCS(Sac), Z. Randoph (Sac), I. Shumpert (Sac), B.McLemore(Sac), 2019 2nd (Pho), 2020 2nd (Hou) Minny Out: Butler, Wiggins, Tyus Jones, G. Dieng Sacramento In: A. Wiggins (Min), G. Dieng (Min), Troy Daniels (Pho), Hou 2019 1st Sacramento Out: WCS, Randoph, Shumpert, McLemore Phoenix In: Tyus Jones Phoenix Out: Troy Daniels, 2019 2nd Phoenix is easy, they want a PG, so giving up Daniels and a 2019 2nd for Tyus Jones sounds reasonable to me, Flame me if you disagree. Sacramento, well they get to Wiggins with Fox and Hield, 3 youngs that can grow together, along with Bogdonavic. And while Wiggins contract is considered toxic by everyone else in the league maybe, Sacramento has a hard time getting "stars" locked up on long time contracts with them. They can take the gamble that Wiggins will put it together and eventually be what he was projected to hopefully become. Plus they get that 1st next year that they so desperately want. While they also give up WCS, they probably aren't going to be able to keep him anyway. Minny does it because they are losing Butler regardless, so getting Ego, Nene, a 1st and rid of Dieng's contract is enough to make that deal, at least most think. The issue has been getting the right deal to get Sac to take on Dieng. But, IF MINNY REALLY would like to move Wiggins also, with that contract they would have to move assets or 1sts to do it as well....EXCEPT maybe to Sacramento in this deal. So while Minny doesn't get a first in the deal, they are essentially saving a 1st that they would have to maybe give up to get rid of Wiggins. Plus Minny gets Towns buddy WCS in the deal along with 2 more 2nds. Randolph, Shumpert and McLemore don't hurt either. Minny gets out of a lot of long term Salary with Wiggins and Dieng, and can focus on building the team around Towns, maybe locking up Ego and keeping WCS if it makes Towns happy. Houston of course would LOVE this deal, no explanation necessary! Nothing else to do today. Okay, well the Texans are starting to play again.
Yea I know, and look where they are at now, the team has imploded and the organization is in total dysfunction.
I stopped reading here. The Thunder are in the repeater tax right now and the Warriors will be next year. Our team has 3 years to solve these issues with the tax kicking in above 140M. Knight is not on our roster presumably after next year. Butler has value under contract and no value as a rental. Adding $1B in value to your franchise has value, you just don't get it. Nobody wants the repeater tax and Morey and Tilman are not stupid. They know the financials, you don't.
