Thank You Cyber...goodbye... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dtkbfkmW808" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Wait, so it says he agreed to a deal today? Cyber are you aware of this and saying theirs still a chance? Or is this news to you and deal is off? Thanks cyber!
OHHHHHHH SNNNNAAAPPP! The Deandre Jordan walk-back ain't got NOTHIN on the NicK Calathes walk-back! DJ was just dissin' Dallas (and Cubez and Parsons). Nick Calathes is dissin' his entire home country! That takes some mighty big baklavas. Nick Johnson may need to surrender his nickname to Nick Calathes.
Did I miss something? Our insider info is the Rockets have contacted somebody who already signed to play overseas. Earth Shattering news!!
If the dude didn't accept the Grizz QO of $1.45m and Pana is offering him $2.3m/yr, I don't feel comfortable offering him too much more. Dude is a poor man's Bev that can't shoot at all.
I am assuming that no one has been interested in the non guaranteed K-Pap contract so far. I wouldn't be surprised if Morey has dangled it along with a future 1st rounder, and cash for a better PG than Calathes.
And now, the end is near And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case, of which I'm certain I've lived a life that's full I traveled each and every highway And more, much more than this, I did it my way Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway And more, much more than this, I did it my way Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew But through it all, when there was doubt I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way I've loved, I've laughed and cried I've had my fill, my share of losing And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing To think I did all that And may I say, not in a shy way Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels The record shows I took the blows and did it my way Yes, it was myyyyyyyyyyyy way
He's a solid point, his stats don't look impressive but the on the grizz he's been stuck behind Conley and Udrih. Also, Grizz's offense really hurts 3 point shooters. As seen, Carter went from being a 40% 3pt shooter to a 30% 3p shooter when switching from the Mavs. Last year Calathes started 7 games and over that stretch of games he averaged 15, 5 and 5 while shooting 50/40/75 with 2.5 steals. Super small sample size but shows he may have some potential if given a bigger role.
R2K is an important mod here and certainly deserves one hell of a lot of respect. You're lucky you didn't get a timeout, and that's all I'll say about that. Thanks, cyberx! Not sure about how I'd feel about getting Calathes, if the European report is out of date and Morey is possibly getting the guy, but we desperately need a damn good point guard as a backup (although I really wish Bev was the backup because Morey snagged a starter quality point). Will await developments!
That thread was the worst. Made this forum useless. Having to read you dummy's banter about stuff not even close to relevant to Rockets basketball.
I'm investing in Will Cummings. The kid looks like a competent backup PG. Really quick, fast, and savvy on both ends of the court. Doesn't do stupid stuff. If we aren't (as we'd all prefer) acquiring a star PG and making Bev a sub, then Cummings seems like a cheap move with upside potential.
I rarely post on here and I never really kept up with the CyberX thread because it was just too much to wade through. It seems like the logical solution to me is for CyberX to have a thread where only he can post. That way he does not have to start a new thread for every post and everyone doesn't have to wade through nonsense to try and find what he posted.
