The thing is, he said he heard it specifically from the source, I believe he said "phone calls and text". Gasol, Henry and Mayo. I think his reputation is at stake on this one. I think Morey jumps all over it if it were true. Very hard to believe.
Mayo >>> patterson Gasol >>>yaos contract then no 16th pick? It has to be a 3 team trade another piece for it even be remotely believeable..maybe were taking on another one of their bad contracts. Actually just checked this deal is not improbable its impossible. It would have to be a 3 team trade. There is not another contract that they could add to this combo of players to make it work.
I'm calling BS on the Memphis trade rumor. I will have a notarized copy of my Declaration of B.S. delivered to Clutch by overnight courier. Move on with your lives, people. Go back to speculating on more realistic scenarios.
actually...if they dont plan to resign randolph a 3 team deal with new orleans is acutally possible. Memphis would obliterate their team with no legit big man though...why would a team on the cusp of the playoffs do that. Memphis would have to get J Hill in the deal. Patterson...hill...and yao might work cant imagine so but might... then neworleans gets randophs expiring brooks gasol mayo we get cp3 and okafor... if this deal is true thats the only way its possible...with a 3rd team like that.
Think of it this way....Yao's last stand for a team that he loves so much that he is used to give us a boost. Similar to what Bruce Willis did for Earth in Armageddon
Don't know if it's been posted yet but Realgm reported that Morey is talking to the Bobcats and Kings http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_a...ckets_have_spoken_to_kings_bobcats_about_yao/
I am sure that Morey would be willing to take back some dirty laundry from the Kings--and perhaps even wash, dry and fold it--if it would facilitate getting Cousins. Also, the RealGM report is just recycling Jonathan Feigen's story in the Chronicle, which has been posted in this very thread!
just because they'd be giving away all their prospects on rookie scale contracts while getting nothing of substance in return (no cap space, no equal return on talent, hell... no return on talent) why would you so quickly dismiss this. better question to clutchfans, why would anyone take this seriously? the proposal meets no real world or even proposterous trade suggestor criteria. the guy posting is listed as from Houston, Tn. he's only got a few posts with none suggesting any inside info. historically.
Yeah, you're late and realgm isn't supported here. All they do is copy and paste stories from the source
forgot to add aaron brooks... weird but with or without brooks the trade works.... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=28vcjb4
Mark Berman also said no deal was imminent. It's going to be a long month and a half of speculations and rumors.
I just don't understand some of the Yao hating here. I can accept people think it's good for the team to trade him. But comments like "good ridden" or "ship his a$$ out" are just mind boggling. What has he done to deserve this kind of disrespect?
Couldn't agree more. Yao has worked as hard as anyone I've ever seen and has always put the team first. Yao deserves everyones respect, he has more than earned it.
