    I appreciate the support.

If what Clutch says is true (he was speculating), what better way to gauge the fans reaction then leaking the story to a national NBA sportswriter and letting the story take its due course with a huge thread on Clutchfans? I think the most important part of this is that generally the majority of fans are thinking the same thing: trade that damn contract and make us a better team!

It wonèt happen, his value to the franchise is too great even if he doesnèt step on a court again. He will be resigned.

McGee is just another player that hasn't shown he's got half a brain and Lewis is overpaid, overpaid, overpaid.

Atlanta has to be one of our targets. They are currently sixth in the East, not good enough to knock off Boston, Miami, Orlando, and Chicago.

Another team that I think may be interested, especially if they could pull a young big out of the deal would be Utah. They are $5 million into the luxury tax. Okur is just now coming back and has one more year left at $10 mill. They may be willing to shuffle out AK-47, Okur, for Yao and Hill to get close to being out of luxury tax.

If Rox don't at least try to trade Yao's insurance backed expiring, they are stupid.

The Wizards have to wait two months to package Lewis with any other player(s) in a trade. They can trade Lewis by himself, a Lewis for Yao straight up trade will work. The Rockets/Wizards can then put together a second deal involving more players.

Id like to see Yao retire and try to comeback than see the Rockets trying to trade him.

Yao, Jeffries and TPE (for Hawes) for Iguodala, Brand and Hawes (maybe add in a pick)... Saves Philly $7 million instantly not too mention gets them out of Brands contract and they save another $8 million on Yao's insured contract....

Brand can still play, Iggy can start at the 3 spot while Battier comes of the bench and we get another capable big man...

Trade him now to get some value salvaged. Resign him later. I don't think there will be a huge demand for Yao's service on the market next year. It's probably Tmac type of deal. If Rox really want him back when he is cleared to play, offer a little more.

People need to stop posting stuff like this. Yao is a free agent this summer. He'll resign with Houston for the vet minimum or something after the season. Yao won't be gone for too long.

Once we flip that contract for players or cash... He will be a FA next offseason and we can re sign him at a cheaper deal because we all know he wont play for anyone else but us

I don't get why people have a problem with trading Yao's contract. You don't think they have talked to Yao about this? You don't think there is an understanding that he signs here in the off season?

What I find most amazing about this thread is that half of us still think Yao will be a meaningful player again. What will it take to show some of you that he is DONE? Two missed seasons in a row isn't enough, on top of all the missed time before that?

Yao agreed to this. To be honest it's smart, he comes back next year on the cheap. Let's face it Yao is probably co-owner of the Rockets in terms of power and probably has alot more to do with trades and what not than we even know about behind the scenes.

Yes I do think Chase is the best young player the nuggets can get for Melo without an extension signed and in place.......

Decent trade, slightly overpaying for Hibbert.

I think you mean underpaying.. and I'm not sure it is slightly.

It is really funny how everyone here criticizes Budinger for his poor play this season but centers trade proposals around him like he has that much value.
