I'm amazed at you guys that have this infatuation with Lawson and think he's so much better than Jack. Newsflash: He's not! He may be a better drink-stirring straw in an offense that needs a playmaker but he's not a better overall player. You either forgot or don't understand the defensive side of the ball. And you forgot or never saw what Jack looked like playing off-the-ball next to Curry.

As far as Bojan is concerned, this is a case where shooting percentages mean nothing. Look at his stroke. This is a guy that lets it rip. Shooting 25% from 3 and still letting 5 3's fly a game in 24 minutes. This is a guy that will pull it, that will force the defense to have to get out on him. Because his mechanics are solid and he WILL, I GUARANTEE YOU HE WILL, raise his 3-point shooting percentage. On the other hand, many of you dote about Terrence leading us in 3-point shooting this season, when we've had to force him to get up 2 3's a game. Meanwhile his finishing percentage has crashed and burned as teams play him for the drive and are starting to kill him at the rim. And we all know his 3-point percentage is going to come down with another 50 attempts.

Guys, this is a no-brainer trade for us. The only question is it adds around $4 million to our cap for next season. So we'll need to offset that at some point by moving out Brewer and/or other salary for an expiring deal. But this is a no-brainer for us and I'd be surprised if we don't have to give up KJ or a pick to get it done.

Bbholic, we have players that let them fly.. That is one of out main issues. But I agree that with his mechanics his % will rise. Most of our players have pretty bad mechanics.

Looked at the stats and this is actually a pretty bad deal. We'd be getting hosed. Ty in a regular nba system is a near allstar. Maybe if it was Young, Jack and Reed for Ty and Jones

I thought he looked pretty good in the Detroit game. Was way more decisive and actually hit some damn shots. We shouldn't give up on this experiment so early. It's not like trading him away will magically solve the lack of focus and laziness on this team.

I'd like to see what he and James can do with DMo. Playing with another great finisher and good 3-point shooter should open up the floor for each of them.

The same idiot who initially said that the Rockets were trying to shop Ty came out and just said they are NOT shopping Ty.

I think this was made up as an assumption (like Clutch stated in initial post) and other teams picked up the phone and Daryl listened. (Why not?)

Nothing to see here people. Ty will be fine.

Disgusting deal, Jack is terrible off ball, Bog is a soft euro with no defense. Keeping Ty or trading Ty will make no difference

Oh trust me I do, I have been on these boards for years. As I said, I don't doubt that Cyber heard rumors, but they were probably from other GM's reading reports and giving Morey a call. Of course Morey will listen.

We have guys that let them fly but they have to let them fly a lot of times because Terrence stands out there and pump fakes away his wide open looks. Spacing. If Bojan were here he'd get much better looks than he does in Brooklyn. Stroke is there. Release is there. He doesn't hesitate to pull it. He's shooting around 55% from inside the 3-point line. And he's probably around 80-85% from the FT line (didn't check). He's just hit a shooting slump. But this is a player with good fundamentals. And although he's only a second-year NBA player, he's a seasoned basketball vet. He's also got a decent handle and he knows how to pass.

Bogdanovic may be the closest player we can get to replicating Carlos Delfino in our offense. I'm all in on this deal. Get it done now.

Dmo likely won't play until mid to late Dec. He'll likely have a minutes restriction for a couple weeks. We can't wait until Feb, just to see if they click or not.

We have to make moves to resurrect the season. Throwing away this year and doing nothing only works against us in the long run, especially concerning that this could be our last year with Howard.

Its a gamble either way. Lawson could blossom in time. True. But fortunes are more likely to change more quickly with a trade rather than waiting on Lawson.

We need to be all in now, IMO, which has me wondering about the coaching. Why not move to somebody proven, now, rather than gambling on someone totally unproven as a head coach?

He will fit well with our Marcus, not Marcus, Thornton.

I think you meant, "Ty will be traded."

Those dumbass NBA sources basically hear one thing, then call the team(s) involved, they deny it vehemently, the same dumbass source prints nothing to see here so s/he can get more Internet hits, and round and round she goes.

Thanks for letting us know what you are hearing. I think at this point, Morey is setting himself up for a very busy Dec opening to trade season so this is no shock.

As other have said, Harden, Capela, D-Mo, and maybe Howard & Harrell (crazy Howard might be available already) are the only untouchables IF it gets to a point where the data shows the Rockets are likely NOT a playoff team.

At the win rate the Rockets are at now, its likely around Christmas time where you'd see Morey essentially punt on the season, and start rebuilding around Harden for the next group around a Harden-centric team.

This particular trade I wouldn't expect to go down as is... even you are alluding to other teams getting involved, other players etc. But its a conversation stater for Morey to start preparing for the future when it comes that time in late December.

Bogdanovic seems like the player Morey wouldn't mind getting a hold of, but IMO I would think Gentile would be a higher priority for the future and possibly a better player in a year or two if he isn't already. As I mentioned yesterday a Brewer for Bogs/Jack trade makes sense for the Rockets cap purposes. A Lawson for Jack/Bogs trade makes no sense from a cap perspective after this year since he's un-guaranteed, and a substantially better player than Bogs or Jack.... even if he's struggling. Throwing Jones in the mix too just for salaries sake makes no sense.

But its interesting as a conversation starter. I assume that this is the type of deal that Morey will try to get cute with, and involve a 3rd team. Could be an interesting deal at the end of the day if it matures into anything. We shall see, and let the trade machine run wild folks.

lawson is a myth to me. i knew he wasnt as "great" as some had believed, but the huge drop-off like what we've seen? that was never expected (by anyone, i think).

it's easy to point finger at harden and play-off-the-ball all that shiit. but is that really all there is to it? idk. its really really puzzling.

maybe sometimes a player just needs a change in scenery? rondo couldnt look more terrible in dallas, how's he doing in sactown now? i havent watched him this yr., other than that one game he played us. but i've noticed he's on the leader board of minutes played...

I partially agree with this. A few good games in a row from Jones may increase his value to some extent.
