    This would be ****ing pathetic.

This is Ty Lawson we are talking about. I know he has struggled mightily. But the Rockets need to understand the type of potential Harden and Lawson have together. At this point it is clearly no easy task to get it through this teams head but any lineup with Ty, Harden and Howard/Capela could be lethal on offense.

The incompetent coaching on this team, instead of coming into the season with a plan to make this work, just decided to throw Lawson out there assuming it would be sunshine and rainbows, and now he is riding the bench. If we want any chance of salvaging the season (which is a long shot, I know) we have to keep Ty, and freaking start him, especially because Beverley and Terry obviously won't cut it. Short term may not be pretty, but starting Ty alongside Harden gives us the best chance long term to be successful, because if the coaches can implement a plan on offense and if they figure it out together, then we have something really good to work with moving forward.

Do you really think that the Rockets are going to match the highest offer that DMO gets? I don't.

I don't really care about Parsons.... his defense is horrible, he has had serious injury issues.

That's Brooklyn Nets we are dealing with. Plus Lawson's contract is essentially an expiring. Not at all worthless to me.

Lol @ your pee pee games theory.

Although Avery Bradely would fit nicely into this teams rotation. (In my dreams)

Did you not watch Rockets this season? Lawson and Harden doesn't work. It never will. Because of Harden. Harden is useless at best off the ball. So is Lawson.

Rockets can't really afford to keep waiting on TY or try to implement a new system. They should make the playoffs, given how other teams are playing, but at what, the 7th or 8th seed? Good luck with that...Rockets need to get it going soon, so that they can avoid GS or the Spurs.

The entire situation makes zero sense.

How does someone request ball-handling help, get the help, then not use the help?

It's like James was just testing the organization's obedience towards him.

Agreed. Play Ty a few more games, unless we can acquire a 2-way player.

The Rockets probably lead the league in 1-way players.

Reunite Ty and Carmelo? I doubt the Knicks so this, they have a shot to sneak into the playoffs, no chance they rock the boat

He probably want someone that can handle the rock but can play offball too. Lawson is the extreme version of Lin where he is really good but really needs the ball in his hands. (Lawson is VERY good, he just doesn't fit with our team identity) Guys like Thornton, Jack, Bev works with Harden. I would love to have Dellie on our team too, in fact I think he would be perfect.

I watch every game. Beverley doesn't work either. Neither does Terry. Lawson has the most potential, and as I said before, it obviously will not be easy to get it through their thick skulls but if this team wants any chance at success now and in the future, Lawson and Harden have to stop being idiots, run a real offense, and play good basketball together. Not Bev, not Terry, and not Jarrett freaking Jack will have any real chance at getting it done.

    ugh....

Brooklyn is a terrible, terrible team this year.
(but they managed to not get blown out by the Pistons, and even beat them...)

So depressed. Help us D-Mo, you're our only hope.

    (Thanks, cyberx)

The problem is that Ty is also useless with ball when he was with second unit. He got problem whatever it was. He can not shoot, defend and lost the ball when he dribble.

I don't know if James was testing the organization... But i've seen this story before and the main character at that time was Adrian Dantley..

Yeah the guy could score BUT....

    He didn't play defense
Had an attitude if he didn't have the ball in his hands..
Would play ISO ball instead of team ball
    Would not play Defense
Would blame his teammates for his mistakes...

    Who does this sound like...

When Detroit let him go, they won a championship..

When the Rockets played Detroit and they made the comeback in the 3rd, they came back by moving the ball and playing team ball... In the 4th James comes in and they go right to iso ball...

I blame the COACH and James...

If you keep doing what you're doing, you'll continue to keep getting what you've got...

So it's insane to think that you will be able to bring in player after player after player and expect everything to change.

Getting Ty Lawson didn't work. McHale's coaching staff should have tried to integrate him but didn't / couldn't; Bickerstaff's team is dangling over a cliff while hanging onto a shrub and doesn't have time to teach the Geico cat to "go for help, boy! go!"

Lawson's confidence looks shot all to hell, whether from the bad fit here, or from his personal troubles, whatever. We might have helped extinguish the light, but we can't fumble around in the dark looking for the switch, especially if he can't tell us where it is (it is, after all, his switch; seems it isn't going to be "flipped" here, so what's gonna get flipped.......is him).

When Lawson went from DNP one game to getting some decent minutes the next, first things I thought were: Trade bait.

We can fuss over what might have been or just hope our next move pays off, or, at least, doesn't backfire. Why worry about it blowing up in our faces? That's what the Lawson trade has done already.

    We still have PAT.

Grant wouldn't get any PT with Pat and Galloway at point. so you're basically trading Ty and TJ for Galloway. There's no guarantee Galloway even starts, so then you would potentially be trading them for a back up PG. That's not going to solve much, especially if Galloway regresses...he's still very young and inexperienced. Is his shot really this good or is he having a good 15 games?

And Terry is our only vet that actually has an ounce of leadership. We're in this mess, in large part, because we lack that.
