    Sadly, Mike Brown would be a better X's and O's guy than McHale is. :( For the love of god, can someone please tell me what the hell McHale does?!?!

    A motivator to play defense? I'm ok with that if the other assistant(I assume they're bringing in replacements for Sampson and Cooper) is more of an X's and O's guy.

    I still think this entire exercise is absurd. We're sitting here debating assistant coaches' credentials because everyone knows our head coach is incompetent instead of just replacing McHale and letting the new guy bring in his own presumably qualified staff.

    so who is our Offensive coordinator???

    PS. A guy I am rooting for to be a coach(head or assistant) Ettore Messina was once on Brown's staff as an assistant. Kobe Bryant speaks very highly of him, and several NBA teams are considering his services...

    If this is true, big whoop de doo. As long as you have a total idiot as HEAD coach, you can only go so far because the HEAD coach makes the important, ultimate decisions. Just dumb.

    It also should be noted that Lebron credited Brown for his defensive improvement.

    So I'm okay with this. In fact I hope it happens unless a better name pops up

    That's a crock of ****. Brown was Pop's lead assistant in SA. He wasn't lead assistant because he was a motivator.


    It's like folks here just want to make everything Morey does look stupid so they can keep being sad.

    Brown helped Lebron with his defense too.

    Jeff Van Gundy lives in Houston. He just might be itching to get back into coaching. I hope they at least offer him the position. I doubt that he would take it, but you never know. I guess he makes too much sense.

    Dragging myself to watch games will be even harder than this past year when I knew they weren't going anywhere with McHale as the coach.

    They've already decided to throw next year away as well by bringing McHale back which is unfortunate.

    Oh well. I'm a fan. All I can do is root and hope I'm wrong.
