What, and undersized point guard when his shot isn't falling, he's utterly useless because he doesn't play a lick of defense?

Yeah thats not a bad thing. Every trade Orey makes is always under the radar. Everytime the media is going on and on about the rockets aquiring a player it never happens. Morey is a silent assassin

Now now Samantha, that is no way to talk to your DDaddy.

    ;)

Don't be desperate, the Rockets will be great without Thugelo.

What constitutes as great to you? We're good..not close to great, bud. We've gotten out of the first round ONCE in 13 years.

Your talent evaluation has always been suspect. In the NBA and the NFL. You don't know jack squat.

How? Especially if Yao does his little 24 minute appearances every other night?

We need that 2nd star to fill in just in case and Brooks or Martin aint gonna cut it.

Sorry, but you're letting your personal feelings pollute talent scouting.

we cant match favors and picks right? they are saying favors could potentially be as good as a dwight howard. Just might take a bit of time...which the nuggs will have when they deal melo.

Would Buddinger, Brooks, Hill (fillers) and draft picks (as many as it takes)

even be better than favors and murphy?

This is going to be VERY tough to match. We may have to throw in guys like Brooks, Hill AND Bud plus both picks, Battier and Walt Frazier to come close. :p

I wish I had seen Favors more in college. I still find it hard to believe that they would give up on him but a 1-2 combo of Melo and Lopez sounds pretty nice.

Yeah, I really don't see us landing Melo if the Nets offer up Favors.

I would try to help facilitate a trade in which we somehow land Billups or Nene.

Something like this: along with draft picks as well

    Denver Recieves:
    Derrick Favors
    Troy Murphy
    Aaron Brooks
    Mike Harris
    Jared Jeffries
    Jordan Hill

    Houston Recieves:
    Chauncey Billups

    New Jersey Recieves:
    Carmelo Anthony

    Billups/Lowry
    Martin/Lee
    Battier/Budinger
    Scola/Hayes/Patterson
    Yao/Miller/Dampier

That leaves us with Battier, Budinger, and some various other picks to use in a trade at the deadline.

That's a terrible trade for us. No chance we would even consider it

First off, if Brooks goes, it's going to be in a deal for a major star. Give Aaron and the organization's view of him more consideration.

And Billups has lost a step .... Give me Chauncey of a few years ago ..But now ...just look at his defense compared to the way it used to be...slippage.

I forgot about Murphy - who I doubt will be a Net next year. Their current roster wins 30 games - tops.

Personally I hope you are right because it only helps our 2011 pick. However, if I were the owner, I'd make the trade for the 2010-11 money savings alone - but then I'm poor compared to him.

If that is true, I can't imagine anyone topping that. But would Melo really want to go to play his best years with the team remaining? IMO - that is a 35 win team - or less. I'd say no and therefore don't think it will happen.

um, let's see what favors does in the NBA first, bud and hill have already proven themselves as every day players, at least.

i hate how people always value potential over current value because a lot of the time people never live up to potential.

I don't need to see headlines like this to know Denver is quietly accepting the reality of the situation and considering all their options.

I don't know why people are so against Melo coming to Houston. Fact is that hes a top 10 player in the NBA and maybe even top 5. I hate Kobe, but would I welcome him to the Rockets? Sure. Lebron? Sure. Deron Williams (yes I said it)? Sure. Chris Paul? Yes. (Note this isn't my top 5 players in the NBA lol there just random) Fact is these guys are proven superstars and can help your team win.
